I just called up Mohseen from Silicon Honda, BSK 3rd Stg, Blore. He said there has been delay in the dispatch and hence the display bike will arrive towards the end of this month and deliveries will begin as per the delivery schedule the dealer will receive along with the display model. He expects the deliveries to happen only in the first week of May.
To me, who has not yet decided to buy the bike, there is a positive side to this delay. I will have a complete Indian review before I will have to handover my money!! This is as I had wished and predicted long ago.
In the meanwhile, munch time with a first ride feedback from a Denmark customer:
I have just tried the cbr - Honda CBR250 Forum : Honda CBR 250 Forums

I told you all.. The silver looks stunning.. It would have many buyers when people actually see it(including meOriginally posted by ttusharz View PostYeap, came to know from gaurav thakkar that those bikes were heading for cbr rally @ alibaug.
From distance, first i thought might be some rider fully geared on SBK. But soon bikes came near from opposite lane, i realised it is silver cbr250r. Soon followed by another couple of silver then another 2 black & last was 4-5 red ones. Fcuk that was an awesome site to watch. Frankly speaking guys, silver cbr showed its presence on the road.
).. And the silver also appears bigger than the red..
Powai.. 8-10 cbrz..!!! Man, should had know this.. Would had been there to catch the view.. Any pics? You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

Shut up Honda Hater!Originally posted by darkknight View PostI always thought that-- things online & things practical differ a lot

Did you like the Black Silver one? The silver in it looked ugghhh ... very flashy to the eyes! Then again thats just me...
Care to throw some more light on the plastic parts?Originally posted by ThisPointer View PostJust got back from the showroom.. The bike is AWESOME! Looks proportionate - not too small not very huge. It's just the right size that a 250CC CBR should be.
I found the build quality to be very good. The plastics are pretty strong as compared to the other bikes. Almost nothing to complain about.
Noticed the HMSI tag on the engine. Surely puts one rumor to rest. The bike is not imported from Thailand.
Sterling Honda got 2 bikes both Red non-ABS CBRs.
Called up my showroom (Pashankar Honda). They still haven't gotten their display bike. They said that the demo bike will come with the first lot which will be on 25th.
Will upload the pics which I took in a while...
have taken pics from all possible angles.. don't know which ones to upload. 46 of them
@Krishna - Nice meeting you dude.. Didn't know we had so many friends in common..
The Red bike I saw, looked better than the black bike.... but on the black bike, the plastic parts appeared very filmsy... especially the tail section. The contour going bad on some place... Heck! If they had ripped the monogram from the dazzler and plonked it in, it would look so hot!
Rest... waiting for a test ride before putting money on it. Else from what I have seen so far, these were my viewsSuper CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Oh ok! Silver Silver yet to see.... ! Now that you say its good, I think that could be safely assumed to be so!Originally posted by darkknight View PostROFL-- I was referring to silver-silver bey

Anyone who writes anything remotely bad in here about the bike, or the people going ga-ga about it is branded a Honda hater by default. So you HAVE to be a Honda Hater, but dont worry... 'we' are a long list of people here!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Ok some1 explain what is the opening on the clutch assembly. normally the hole is for rear view mirror but i could not understand why is it there on cbr as the mirrors are mounted on front fairing or wind shield. i saw this opening in both Red color which is displayed in malad and silver in kandivali...McLaren Forever

Is the bike delivered in any state or is it just the test drives that everyone is talking about?
Looks like people in bangalore will get it last.. even though max bookings are from bangalore
Any idea .. where we can get good covers for the bike? waterproof covers that will not scratch the paint... Want to keep it covered when it is at home.

Question to Satyen from your blog...
"Two – if this is going to be your last big bike"
Why would someone want to buy if this is going to be their LAST big bike? Why not someone buy a C250R now & think of buying a 400/600 when they're being manufactured in India from a few years from now OR may be after 5-6 years (even if they're available in the same route)?Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
