Just glancing quickly as I'm in a rush. Ninja showed 107mph and the CBR 102mph.

REAL times were:

CBR: 94.2
Ninja: 97.4

I'm afraid the Honda whooped the Kawa in the 0-60mph.

CBR: 8.73
Ninja: 10.18

1/4 mile and it had nearly caught up, but being a bit anemic it couldn't catch the CBR.

CBR: 16.63
Ninja: 16.93

From 20-70 in 4th. Ninja takes it:

CBR: 14.68
Ninja: 13.78

Roll on from 30-80, CBR is back showing it how it should be done:

CBR: 26.42
Ninja: 27.79

Try to understand that MCN compared a carb version (US version) of Ninja which gives only 26bhp. Why the CBR v/s Ninja comparison again??

Who cares how Honda or its dealers manage the deliveries? All that matters to me is that I have to get CBR delivered to me in the very first lot in Bangalore in the showroom I booked because I did the booking on 1st Jan around 10:30 in the morning. So, it got to be one of those very firsts for the day.
If the dealer denies me this, of course, it has to be by an unfair means, I am going to ditch the dealer, Honda and the CBR. As a customer, I deserve my due respect. I place myself above the machine and I do not want to beg Honda for the machine. I will be all happy with R15 thats waiting for me since last week in the showroom.

I get a feeling that its a pure VFM power motorcycle and touches all the walk of ride, a little from sport bike to a little of power, but, tell me frankly, does it certainly fall under sports bike category?

I felt more of the VFR character than CBR character in this bike.

They said I am the second guy who booked the bike in Silicon BSK 3rd stage.. I booked it around 9.30-10.00 am.

So you can come for XBHP Pune meets on the weekends! When we don't have long projects. Also trying to get Fabien with us.

And the exhaust looks scooterish not sounds scooterish!

MCN is UK based magazine and the Ninja in comparison is the 32.5bhp one. Also we are not comparing, it is a review by MCN for the CBR250R vs. the nearest competitor which happens to be the Ninja 250R for one.

It was very short time spent with the bike. The first impression is that of a VFR1200! Something big [and high] in shape standing out in a crowd. The finish is good. The best view is the rear 3/4th. When i saw the front dead on, it looks smaller than the Ninja. Smaller frontal area than the Ninja and R15. The tank rises up smartly from the headstock. Nice tailpiece also. The tyre makes the bike look beefy. The stance as i said earlier is higher than the litre bikes. Where superbikes look as if laying themselves down on the front wheel, this feels as if rising in the front,unlike the Ninja. The front tyre is also quite big and proportionate.

The power delivery is linear. Where the Ninja felt rev hungry this was eager to lunge forward. I think this is tall geared. On the Ninja you have to rev the hell out before it gives THE punch. This gives it well below. Did not notice the rpm. Also the torque band is broader. Also did not notice the handling as it was very short one. One thing I felt was that it is not as smooth as an Unicorn The seating is not at all aggressive as the bigger sportsbikes. Though not upright like my 220.

After the ride i was ripping my 220 and thought,"why the hell is this not running" My 220 felt underpowered instantly!

I hope to get a bigger test ride soon. Will keep you guys updated.

When we rode the Honda CBR250R in Thailand, the motorcycle impressed us every little bit. The quarter-litre sportbike with its attractive starting price of Rs1.5 lakh even went on to receive more than 4000 bookings across India. The motorcycle will however hit our roads only in May. We were lucky to ride the motorcycle over 300kms from Mumbai to Pune via Alibag.Once the light clutch is released in first gear, the front wheel literally gets up in the air. The first gear takes the motorcycle all the way to 50kmph while the bike maxes out at 79kmph in second gear. The oversquare engine is rev happy and gets loud at higher engine speeds. 100kmph comes up quickly in third gear while the engine displays very little vibes even while redlining. Mid-range is strong and pulls smoothly. Overtaking is effortless but requires one to drop down gears.

I managed to touch an impressive indicated speed of 150kmph in fifth gear and could have clocked slightly more but one requires a long stretch to extract most out of the engine. The engine can however cruise easily at 125kmphthe bike is a slick handler and is very flickable due to its light weight. The bike is slightly soft when pushed hard but is plush and compliant while cruising and riding in town. In city speeds, the bike is nimble and is effortless to ride through traffic. Making it seem like a smaller bike. The CBR250R is the perfect bike for long distance riding, town use or a track daywe recorded a 32.5kmpl overall figure even after riding at higher speeds in the highway. However, we will have to test the bike for or a more concrete highway and city fuel economy figure. The CBR250R is the motorcycle that is ideal for India in terms of pricing, design and performance. The bike has triggered the beginning of a new segment in the Indian motorcycling two-wheeler market. For a full road test, look out for the June issue of OVERDRIVE.

hi dude.........i have booked in c.r.honda and also in downtown honda......apple honda dint give me that much co operation so i deal with only two dealers........in downtown my booking is 23rd but i have some sources so i m expecting from that.......anyhow i just want that bike as soon as.......

It certainly did not feel like a naked streetbike. And if you are asking about track-ness of the bike, then the R15 is more track oriented than the CBR and Ninja. More so CBR is a city roads friendly sportsbike. I felt more of the VFR character than CBR character in this bike.

went to laxmi honda madurai and saw the CBR! one word AWESOME!
man i hav been waiting for this like anything! better than what i expected! and all those picture do not do any justice to the bike!
it is a SBK for sure! both bikes on display are black,abs n non-abs!
i test rode the bike with the manager of showroom mr.guru on pillion!
man!! what a bike? i dont have words to describe it! it is a balanced vehicle with good maneuverability and handling! better than RE for sure!imo!
the seating position make u feel u r riding a super bike! and is gud between ur legs, not stretching ur thighs! at the same time at weights really light!
the manager mr.guru is a very nice man ,very humble and even took me to the MD ,introduced me to him and asked me to share the experience of test riding the bike as i am the first one to hav test rode it!
MD also shared his thailand experience of CBR! they made feel like a VIP! i am delighted!
they made sure they will give test ride to only those who hav booked with them !
