The 2 bikes that has come to dhrudesh honda both are red and still kept wrapped in plastic covers. The front number plate braket is so lousy that any body will cut their finger if u run over it. The saree guard less described the better. Hope they display by 25th april atleast.

It seems the saree guard and the number plate were made by a team in isolation with no idea where they were going to be fitted.Originally posted by ragooms View PostThe 2 bikes that has come to dhrudesh honda both are red and still kept wrapped in plastic covers. Any idea if someone makes customized saree guards for bikes in Bangalore? I might expect my family ladies to use the pillion at times. I would like to have saree guards as they are on the Karizma, Unicorn.. very neatly done.Originally posted by ajaymanoharCould be very much likely. Since the saree guard is a specific thing in India, Honda might have outsourced that thing to some Indian steel maker, and they also extract as much profit as they can, by making a simple collection of rods which they think looks like a saree guard...

So you are confirming that the bikes are there? Because the first thing I will do today is go there after office.Originally posted by ragooms View PostThe 2 bikes that has come to dhrudesh honda both are red and still kept wrapped in plastic covers. FINALLY FINALLY....
Finally I caught my irresponsible dealer with his pants down. F**ing loser, I called him up. And here is the conversation...
Me: Hi, P(CBR sales rep guy). Any news about the bikes?
P: Sir I will call you by 25th sir, no news much.
Me: Well, I got news that Dhruvdesh Honda got their bikes in garage, and my friend got to see it. How come Saphire people have no news at all?
P: Sir, I will be getting the bikes by tomorrow. I will definitely call you by tomorrow.
Me: So why did you not tell me this when I asked you first time?
P: Sorry sir, but how did you come to know?
Me: I have my sources from all showrooms.

P: Sorry sir, we will definitely put bike on display before Saturday morning.
Me: Ok, can we(me and another guy who booked it from same place, S) see the bikes when they are there in garage of your showroom?
P: Sir I will definitely call you sir.
Me: Like how you "DEFINITELY" called me so many days.
P: Sir, all formalities are over. And everything is ready including RTO approval. You will definitely get your bike by Monday.

I cut the phone, my hands still shivering....
*sob* *sob* tears of joy!!!!
Once the bike comes, you can test if any already existing saree guards work well. Else DIY man, DIY. Get in touch with a local welder and get your bolts and nuts right. Map down to minutest details and specification you want in terms of Saree Guard length, placement width of foot, etc...Originally posted by shivaprasad.ms View PostAny idea if someone makes customized saree guards for bikes in Bangalore? I am now thinking of getting the rear seat cover done, juggad with fibreglass/sheetmetal/plastic...Last edited by ajaymanohar; 04-21-2011, 04:35 PM.

Lucky you, Here in hyderabad reps know nothing about the bike or its arrival. All they know is that the bikes will be on display by the end of april. Nothing apart from that. Hopeless. Call them and they'll say " saab, month end tak gadi showroom mein display karenge ". ask them about deliveries and they'll say " mmm aa mmm aaaa mmmmm maybe in may "Originally posted by ajaymanohar View PostFINALLY FINALLY....

With reference to the AutoCar review( the place where they test rode it is a real pain in the a**, with road actually non existing, and Metro work going on here and there) the ABS under you will actually take the burden, stress and anxiety off your head especially when you feel are about to topple over on a bad surface. Unless you are a pro and can negotiate traffic patterns. So ABS is I guess, more helpful on our martian roads. Yes, one needs to learn the art of effective braking, because then, ABS will have to do half its duty!
C-ABS is really worth it. I say people who can get the ABS one, go for it. You will never look behind."Never recreate from your memory, always imagine new places"

thanks guys, but I dont believe these showroom people as yet... Lets wait and see. I am skeptical about this Monday thing...Originally posted by srisetty View PostCongrats Ajay. See you soon riding her in the next G2G.
Have you got people in other showroom as well, as in people who have booked in other showrooms. What could be happening is that showroom people are not ready to give yet, and like many pointing out, there could be favourites who will jump the waiting queue to get hands on this bike asap. So you need to pester these showroom asses as much as possible..Originally posted by thefastestindian View PostLucky you, Here in hyderabad reps know nothing about the bike or its arrival. Oye hoye, yeh hui na baat. I am the second guy there. Why dont you call them up and confirm this. Last thing I want is this news to be false, because the dealer was trying to calm me down. Try hitting him with this, quote my name and say that I told you that the dealer told me that the bikes would be here tomorrow.Originally posted by jerk View PostHoly Quackamoly..
