When you booked in March, no one had an idea when Honda will start dispatching the bikes and when the deliveries would actually start. It was just said that it would be in April 2nd week. So with that in mind, dealers have taken booking amount and said that you would be getting it by June. But in reality, the whole thing changed and in most of the places, deliveries started by May only. Now its June and still people who booked in Jan are yet to get the bike. So it would definitely take some time for your CBR to arrive. Probably you can expect yours by July second half. Forget abt ABS/STD now. I have not seen much delay in that.

I am next in line at Haiku Honda for a CABS version. Had booked on Jan 7th and booking number 7. But the lot which came recently has not a single ABS version. He was telling something about no ABS being available as they have to get it from Japan. This is sooooooo frustrating ! I have been waiting since august last year for this bike !!

i think no clue what so ever,i think next lot has arrived in balaji honda and as per kun still the wait is going on,i booked mine on feb 22 and the dealer says u have to wait more 2 months...

I would suggest you have a word with your dealer and convey to him your intentions and work it out accordingly.Even I have paid the money in advance and I am to receive my bike 10days hence.
If you are sure to buy the CBR, you have to pay the money at any point of time. You might want to take the money back (which is allowed) only in case you decide not to buy it or you get into some financial emergencies.

Hmmmm... My apprehensions are:
1) I pay the money and the guy does not deliver the bike to me and keeps me waiting for a few months while he delivers to other "recommended" customers.
2) I pay the amount in advance but the bike has some major quality issues and those guys say that now all the documentation is done and you have to take the bike blah blah.

Maybe I am thinking too much but feeling slightly uncomfortable. Anyhow I think the buyers of the CBR are not in a good position to negotiate at this point as a lot of people would be willing to take the delivery.

I think I will go ahead and make the full payment tomorrow.

I can understand your frustration mate. Its a long wait and it looks like its gonna be even longer for ME if guys like YOU who have booked in Jan are still waiting.

There are moments when I get too impatient and think of cancelling the booking and getting an R15. Am confused! Thinking of writing an elaborate email to the Honchos of Honda expressing my dissatisfaction today

Bro it was the same case with me as well,even i used to seriously think to cancel the booking and buy an R15.now i got my cbr last week...and i bet you its worth waiting coz its going to be a very good upgrade for you

Guys, i booked my CBR on 3rd Feb and got delivery on 9th May.. And the key to the quick delivery was, i visited the showroom 4times a day, everyday till i got it

btw, i saw a CBR(abs) in SVC while service. It was bought from a broker in delhi and brought all the way from delhi to mumbai.. He paid 35k extra for it. And guess what? The bike had lots n lots of problems.. It was all opened before delivery.. And as it was bought from a broker, the warranty was already void.. i wonder what the owner must be going through..

So, anyone if gets a chance, or even if buying from the dealer, inspect the bike thoroughly before buying or paying..

Hey bro did you pay all the money in advance ? I think the dealers are manupulating something.some dealers say that brakes parts are not delivered and some say fuel injector are not delivered . Different reasons for different places! For activa its 6 months waiting but my relatives paid some extra and got it in 7 days ! . So this how it goes in India ! I hope the honda guys must know this ! Honda dealers are really good making money such way and good to make customer go mad if they don't m

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....never ever hurry up my friend, its exactly my unfortunate mistake. I bought brand new R15 in haste not bearing the wait even before the test ride and was doomed after I took the CBR test ride. I sold back the R15 in three weeks for a loss of 23k!!! Now, I have padi for the CBR and am waitng for the delivery peacefully. no more hurryness. I now curse my haste and feel with the loss amount I could have bought the ABS version

Rather avoid brokers totally. Better to take the pain of waiting for few months than to take the pain of many years of owning a faulty bike bought from brokers!!

I feel sorry for you. A hundred pages back I had seen people to telling you to wait but I guess you were very impatient and did a small mistake!

ppl frm downtown honda,baroda....are asking or i can say forcing me to look forward to grey colour...and its like information for d ppl frm gujarat who r looking for grey color that they have grey color available and no one is ready to take it home...so contact them probably they ll give delivery of it on d spot...
