absolutely possible! speak with the showroom persons and they will do the temporary registration at TVM. You will get a temporary registration no. ( like KL xx TEMP xxxx), valid for 1 month. Then take the bike to TN and do the permanent registration. You need to physically produce the bike at TN rto.Originally posted by swift View Post

THis is exactly my dilemma at this very moment.Originally posted by pravu View PostThe last minute confusion is to choose between a red abs or black one? Can you guys help me out on this? I have already sickened my brain cells a lot, so I expect you guys to throw a hasty helping hand. Sudeep, Jerk, others, are you listening dudes?
Both the Red and the black are eyecandy.
But imo the RED CBRs are wayy too common compared to the Black.
And since the CBR doesnt have the fairing extending all the way around the sides, the Black would be my pick
Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Bangalore CBR owners, please update...
Hope someone can help me here. I booked my CBR from Haiku Honda, Domlur, Bangalore on 5-March (Booking #42) and was told it would probably be delivered in June. When I called the showroom today, I am told I will have to wait for minimum of 2more months for Non ABS and 6Months for ABS
. Is there anyone else who could throw more light on this? Anybody else in the same boat?? After hearing their response, am totally dejected

Also the bike's temp reg has to be done on the address on which you'll be getting your permanent registration done. produce same address for temp and permanent registrations.Originally posted by vickks View Postabsolutely possible! speak with the showroom persons and they will do the temporary registration at TVM. Dude, its your call. Pick the color that you like.Originally posted by pravu View PostThe last minute confusion is to choose between a red abs or black one? Can you guys help me out on this? I'll make it a bit cinematic...
Close your eyes and think of a CBR! What color do you see??? You got your answer!
When you booked in March, no one had an idea when Honda will start dispatching the bikes and when the deliveries would actually start. It was just said that it would be in April 2nd week. So with that in mind, dealers have taken booking amount and said that you would be getting it by June. But in reality, the whole thing changed and in most of the places, deliveries started by May only. Now its June and still people who booked in Jan are yet to get the bike. So it would definitely take some time for your CBR to arrive. Probably you can expect yours by July second half. Forget abt ABS/STD now. I have not seen much delay in that.Originally posted by rmchhetri View PostHope someone can help me here. Only in INDIA & Thailand not any other country!Originally posted by xxbomb View Post^india, thailand and other asian countries.
Yes the booking amount is fully refundable!Originally posted by swift View PostIs the booking amount refundable even now?
I reside in trivandrum, my native is tamilnadu. Is it possible to register the bike in tamilnadu if i buy from trivandrum?? Something like temp registration?
Hmm having booked on 17th Feb, so I expect my delivery in July end against the words of my dealer who said June end at the time of delivery!Originally posted by aargee View PostI know its quite disappointing, but sadly, I too have to admit that, it could be true. See Sudeep's XL sheet, deliveries have been completed for most people who've booked by mid Jan, so, now its going to be Jan end followed by Feb 1st week people. So in my wildest guess, donate this entire month for people who've booked from mid Jan to end Jan & MAY BE, MAY BE, Feb 1st week that's all.
Also, if you look at the waiting period, non influential people who've booked by Jan 1st week were given by May end or June 1st week, which is like 5 months. So July 1st week seem to be realistic. But I heard these days the waiting period is 6 months
Also the dealer whom I've been in touch seems to be a very practical person & doesn't seem to exaggerate things for the sake of it, atleast till now.
Dont worry dude you will ger it. Just keep pestering your dealer :POriginally posted by ksnair_rt View PostDear friends , I booked my CBR in january still I have not got my bike . Everytime I call dealers they say next 15 days . Honda dealers are good at making customers going crazy.
. If company cannot produce the bike then why the hell they are spending so much on advertisements . The worst thing is I sold my Pulsar 200 for buying this bike . Now I deeply regret for what I have done
. I congratulate HONDA for keeping its reputation for late deliveries and making customers going mad!
I agree please tell more and more people to cancel so that WE get OUR CBRs quickly :POriginally posted by googboog View PostSo it's decided. Honda motorcycles India is just plain messing with us.
I wish there was some way of getting back at them. Everyone cancel their bookings
(So I can get my bike faster
)I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

2011 & Present: Honda CBR 250R [Black Blade]

Well mate, I also had the same confusion between Red and Black. I chose Red and now I feel that was the best decision. Red for CBR is like limegreen for Ninja, it stands out. Black may go unnoticed IMHO. As a matter of fact, I am liking the Red more n more as each day goes by.Originally posted by pravu View PostAfter a lot of home works and mental strains, I am now settled with the new kid on the block. Tomorrow is the delivery day and I have availed two days EL from my office. The excitement is somehow piled up type when I compare to the moments of getting a Pulsar 220dtsfi and Yamaha R15. I guess the level of excitement has more or less to do with cc
. Well, the Ninja booking is still on and am gonna cancel it day after tomorrow. I would be losing 4k on the process but never mind.

I also had the confusion between CBR and Ninja. I am also happy that I chose CBR because I use it for commuting. Its a heavy bike and still very flickable. I can't imagine what I would have done with a Ninja in heavy traffic. But I admit, on a highway Ninja's the MAN..

Interesting bit of information !
Hey all,
Just got a call from Moonka Honda, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. They only Honda dealer in that city and it being my hometown, i'd casually enquired about the CBR way back in December '10. Although i ended up booking one at Sapphire Honda, Bangalore with the tentative delivery date of 10th August.
Imagine my surprise when after all of these days, the dealership from Jamshedpur calls me up and tells me they have 3 CBRs (2 Red Stds, 1 ABS) ready for delivery. Apparently there has been no booking for it or if there was, it has been cancelled. So the dealership has 3 CBRs they have no idea what to do with and thus resorted to calling up people who had not booked but only enquired.
So to people from the east, if you're going to have to wait another month or so to get your CBRs, make a small trip to Jamshedpur, say hello to my folks, pay the dealership and ride out right away, break-in the engine on your ride back. If this helps anybody, well and good.
As for me, dropped the CBR plans. The wait is now on for the OrangeJee

Payment of full amount in cash a few days in advance?
Hi Guys,
I called up the sales guy today and asked him about the delivery of my bike as he had indicated that he should be receiving the delivery in 2nd Week of June. He mentioned that delivery is expected on Thursday or Friday and asked me to make the full payment in cash today or tomorrow.
Is it normal to pay the full amount in cash even without seeing the bike? In this thread I see a few people have done that?
I would have preferred to pay after inspecting the bike and ensuring that it was in good order.
The sales guy indicated that if I pay the full amount he would reserve the bike in my name else someone higher up may try to allocate it out of turn to someone else (E.g. boss's relative etc.)
I normally always like to see the stuff before paying but at the same time do not want to risk waiting for another month if they decide to give it to someone else.
Regards
Ankur
