      Its the fault of HMSI. Forget C250R, even a decade old Activa's are having 3-6 months waiting period & somewhere in the forum I read, CB Shine has about 3 months waiting period.

      I'm seriously suspecting an artificial demand made by HMSI!!!

        I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

          Nahhh..nothing like that.

          Only thing is that you need to ride the bike under 5K RPM within the running period. Even if you do 100 kms or 150 kms per day ensure that you keep the bike under 5k rpm. This is what was advise to me.
          Dont worry...Just keep riding.. .

When I had bought my R15, I had an idea of riding to office everyday though, within the prescribed rpm limits as in the manual. But my friend suggested it was good to keep the bike on short trips like within city in the weekends till it completed ~200kms. Basically his point was that you do not strain the bike too much in traffic by lot of clutching and gear shifts over stretched times.
                  But yeah, even manual only prescribed to ride below 5k rpm and no other specific precautions.

                          It's been more than a week that I've got my bike.
                          • No. of kms done per day was 70, 40, 40, 200, 30, 30, 30, 30, 15 (all approx) in the order of days.
                          • You can definitely do long rides, provided you give enough breaks (so that the engine doesn't get heated up) and keep it under 5k rpm mark (I occasionally take it till 6-6.5k).
                          • I've not felt my engine getting heated up fast. Probably only when I've to start-stop many times in the traffic, I feel the heat. The fan behind the radiator blows the hot air to your legs.
                          • Engine was idling at 1.5k rpm initially, but now it seems to be on 1.7-1.8k rpm. Is that an issue?

                            Brought my bike to my office which is in Bidadi Bangalore. It is around 35 kms from my place. Had a good ride on the Mysore road. Handles well. Kept the bike within 5k RPM and touching speeds up to 78KMPH. Handles like a dream.

                            Planning to take some pictures in my office campus as we have nice and huge garden and a beautiful Lawn. Will post some pics of my boy soon..
                            Going to office will be fun now.. waiting for your pics.

                            OT : From where you got the Turtle Wax Wash 'n' Shine? Asking this because I got the info that Turtle Wax products are not available due to import issues and most of them available now are duplicate, except few old stocks. What was the price?

                              Fun...mate, I was the most talked guy in the office. The vice president of the company saw me taking pics of my bike and was asking me if he could help me to take pics.

                              Will post the pics on monday. I cannot do it from my company ... Firewall issues...

                              Turtle wax (Rs 300~ not sure..forgot) and other good products are available in HSR layout Reliance Auto Zone. The shop is located in the service road after Aranya Hotel. (around 100-150 mtrs)
