I got my bike registered yesterday but still have to receive the number from RTO. I am going to get the bike delivered tomorrow. If there was a problem with the bikes Honda would have immediately stopped all deliveries. I have driven a demo honda cbr 250r which was showing 1000kms on ODO without any problems and today is saw a huge review of the CBR 250 in the papers. If you can't reveal the source how do we believe you that this information is true. I will rather not take my delivery at all if this is true.

And by the way what do you mean by all CBR's I did not know Honda is manufacturing models other than the CBR 250R in India ??

I guess these issues occur in a particular batch/lot of bikes, not to all the bikes they manufacture. So it makes sense of recall that particular batch of bikes.
Also, we have not heard of any issues regarding gears yet. Which means that the news could be true and the bikes that are already delivered have no such issues. Just my feeling.

        • Also now a days there is no press advertisement or tv commercials for CBR 250, atleast not that i have seen since World Cup. Dont know why honda is lying low.
Are they waiting for the product to settle down or waiting for production capacities to come upto full levels.

          • The wait is finally over (Somewhat)!!!!

Hey guys I got delivery of silver STD for my friend who let me keep it for a day as he knows how crazy im for this bike...

Actually mine was 1st booking of Red ABS but showroom recived only 1 bike Silver STD so i let my friend have it (we booked at same time) and I will wait for my RED ABS..But d bike is with me only ..

The bike is everything we fans expected it to be.. right since november thailand launch..

No Quality Issues here already rode about 50 KMS today in sweltering heat.

Other than those minor little things already mentioned like clip-ons not upto the mark and frame(Chassis) finishing in black powder coat looks rough.

No issues of paint finish on fairing or any scratches or any loose clips on fairing..Littleknocking issue is there but i think it will go away in Run- in period n first service check n tune-up...Had same issue with my ZMA 03 which i ride till now..
Honda engineer came down from pune and did a 2hr PDI before delivery making sure of everything in top notch condition.

            Already removed Saree GATE..

PICS I will be uploading in night for sure..

Honda is already overwhelmed by the number of bookings that they are trying to catch up in production. Maybe that's why they have stopped advertising.

I somehow feel this is good enough to be true. They were so bent on releasing the bike at the earliest, that quite a few bugs have sneaked in. Looks like this is the latest one to show up.
And recalling doesn't necessary lead to a halt in delivery. As said, may be its particular to a certain batch.

I don't understand the governments persistence with this rule for all bikes... The problem of Sareees or Dupattas getting stuck in the wheel was centuries ago in the RX days where spoke whels and open chains weer used... In todays day of alloys and sealed chains there is no chance for anything to get stuck into the wheels or anywhere... I think the rule should be modified for the type of equipment the saree guard is compulsory on (spoke wheels, etc.)
