If u plan to get it registered in bangalore, you'll be paying tax in bangalore also. Roughly 13% of cost of bike.

I had planned of doin the same thing earlier.....but dropped the plan since the difference amount is not worth the time.

Thanks, but I am not thinking of getting it re-registered in Bangalore but use it with Pondy no. As these days I am finding increasing no of Pondy registered bikes on Hosur road (i work in E-City) and the difference of 30K made me think of this option

Went and saw the baby ceeber up close and now I can't wait until it gets delivered . Really liked the look of it from close quarters. Wasn't looking half assed as I was worried it might. Sure, the clip-ons look like they've been hand beaten into shape by the village blacksmith and the panels move about a bit, but I can live with that as long as the engine doesn't crop any problems. To all you guys who've already booked it, what can I say but "Good choice" Come on Honda, make more and make 'em faster

Had a chance to test ride the CBR today, went up to Silicon Honda RV road. The GM there is Mr. Azas, quite a nice chap, realistic person. Told me clearly i have to wait for the delivery for quite some time as they have to clear the back log off a lot of bikes. Came up to me after the test ride and took feedback as well.

Feelers:
1) Bike had done only 19 kms, so felt a little tight up the revs.
2) Mid range packs a pretty good punch enough to do quick over-takings.
3) Bike should not be compared/expected to perform like a track/sports bike. Power delivery is even and feels quite strained at higher revs (because its new). The bike somehow makes you feel its not going fast but actually its doing good speeds
4) Sporty riding position but a perfect fit for my height (5 11")
5) Handles like a dream, amidst traffic felt like knife going through butter. Weight of 167 kg bike is only felt while parking, handling the bike
6) Has very good road presence. Absolutely no vibrations from the body. Satin smooth.
7) Side stand does not fold back on a single push,
8) Worth the money. Period.

p.S: I am riding a Karizma from the past 8 years, Custom exhaust, ported head, Big bore kit, jetting + K&N. After the ride i did feel my modified bike feels faster initially off the revs and builds up much quicker. But also i did realize how tight she was i.e. the day i test rode the ZMA 8 years back . I hope the CBR once after run in and smoothing up will be much much better. I am going in for the CBR for sure.

I've been saying this in the forum for quite sometime now. Why're you buying from Pondi? It just because the taxes are lower. Obviously you're getting the PY registration & bringing to KA. Did you realize that during this process you're not paying tax to KA Govt?

As long as you're in BLR, you might not be disturbed, but once you're outside BLR, you'll understand what PY registration means.

Mishaps was a decent word I put for ACCIDENT. So once the bike meets an accident & if the other person files a FIR, you're life is over, because...
- You'll be in the guilty of possessing the vehicle in KA since the date of purchase without paying tax. So you'll have to pay the tax immediately as well as fined or punished or both to not have paid the tax

Well, I did my 3rd test ride today... and the longest one...

• Dream Honda, Whitefield - Done on 06th May
• Sapphire Honda, JP Nagar - Done on 09th May
• Silicon Honda, RV Road - Done on 14th May

In the first test ride, I felt a bit uncomfortable in reaching out for the horn. In the second one, the gears were a bit stiff. But in the third one today, it was perfect. Loved the ride on the CBR. Was able to ride on all gears and even test the ABS on gravel. Loved it.

Oh, and by the way, Deliveries have started in Bangalore. There were two CBR delivered from Sapphire Honda which I'm aware of. The first person, an 18 yrs old guy (a friend on mine in another forum), gave me a call in the evening to tell me that he had got his CBR and was very happy. I was late to reach the showroom and couldn't meet him. I was there in the showroom in the afternoon when the 2nd CBR was delivered. And it was delivered to a person who is a member here. I'll wait for him to break the news.

Happy that deliveries have started here and happy for all those who've got their bikes. Hope I'll get mine before this month-end.
