Thank you very much for the info dude! I have also booked in pondy, i used to call them twice a week. The last answer i got was the bike comes on 15th may and they do deliveries on the month end. Since it came before that i hope the deliveries will also start soon. Mine is the 3rd booking there hopefully should get on the first day of delivery. lets see.

Started like this ...Wanted to gift CBR250r to my Brother on his 18th Birthday on 19th march ..so started for looking bikes available & got the news somewhere in December 2010 that CBR250r launched in Thailand & will be launching in April in India , So started calling dealers in Mumbai,Ahmedabad but they were having no ideas & came to know bookings will be starting in December end & finally started on 1st January and booked on 1st day but being in Mumbai and to book a bike at Ahmedabad without my Brothers knowledge plus my papa was not well on 1st Jan so it took some time and somehow could manage to book bike by 4 pm & so was no 3 in waiting list.
waiting period started after that
19th march told my brother that my gift to him is pending, I'll be give you by next month & papa told him to look for bike within 1 lac after he'll get his license.
in April again started calling Honda dealers & people know how they are delaying delivery since than ,and finally have to send Pictures of CBR250 to my brother as gift and told him about the booking & he was the happiest boy on the Earth that day .................................
since than he started visiting & asking dealer about delivery .....only dates we are getting from Honda April end .....5th may.....delayed 15th may ......
by the time my brother saw two cbr250r on Surat road he went to the showroom & came to know delivery started in Surat & many bikes delivered there .....
yesterday got call from Honda to make payment of bike & as per him only two guys are called for payment ...Which my papa did yesterday and HMSI told that they are organizing launch party on 20th may and will be starting delivery after that so again got date 22nd may for delivery but as mine will be the 1st to deliver in Ahmedabad.

ahh..right !! still i hope i get it sooner...5-6 months is too much ...the guys here in sterling honda chinchwad(pune) say they already have 180 bookings..

Honda CBR250R Launched in India at 1.43 ex showroom Delhi

Got my bike an hour ago.. No quality issues apart from the frame weld and clip on thing.. Seat leather quality is way better that what I saw on the display bike... Rest of the story coming soon :-).

Finally got to see the bikes slated for delivery at Haiku Honda, Domlur, Bangalore

My bike's in the first lot, undergoing PDI by the Honda engineer, will be getting it on Monday or Tuesday.

I got my bike delivered today Black C-ABS. I wanna tell you guys one thing just go get your bikes it is just AWESSSOMMEEE !!!. You wont believe I was standing on a signal and one uncle got down from his yezdi and he just stared at the bike like he never saw anything like that before. I am going to post some pics in the morning as there was no battery in my camera.

One caution to all my fellow riders who will be taking the delivery in extreme traffic areas.

1) Be very careful if you are taking steep turns at slow speeds as people who are not used to the gears & riding position may lose balance. It happened to me twice when i was getting my bike home. The bike does not feel heavy when your riding it but when you lose a little balance it really is heavy.

Looking out for a long drive on the highway tomorrow morning. Will post some pics.

Live in Bangalore Booked from Pondy???

For those who are from Bangalore and have booked CBR from Pondy I have a few questions:

1. How to get it registered from Pondy (since you don't live in Pondy how to get address proof etc.).

2. what is the on road price, as per Honda website it is 1,36,798/- is it correct? (i tried calling the showroom there but i could not communicate due to language problem).

3. What is the the current waiting period in Pondy?

4. What about traffic police issue (as its an outstation vehicle)?
