I spotted a Red CBR there and a guy with Black T-Shirt next to it.

Near Devagowda Petrol bunk that is Suzuki & TVS show rooms.

It is almost 1 -1.5 kms away from devagowda petrol pump (after kamakya theatre .. going towards PESIT college.)

Test ride update Bangalore - Silicon Honda RV road

Test Rode the CBR on Saturday from Silicon Honda RV road.

My observations:

1. Seating position - Awesome (Considering my height of 5' 10")
2. Handling - Awesome (considering my weight of 78 kilos & there will no problems handling this bike in Bangalore city traffic)
3. Gear Shift - Super smooth.
4. Power - Good (could not get the feel the power as I was told to ride only below 50 but I took her till 70) but the 2nd and 3rd gear pick up is awesome. Overtaking will be the easiest part in this bike. No vibrations found (including my body parts ).
5. Console Display - Good. The Blue LCD back ground is real good.
6. Suspension : Super soft. It will be a good tourer. It can cause a light pain/stress on your palms while hard breaking.(Caution: People who take this bike for long rides may fall asleep while riding. Carry a Mosquito repellent )
7. VFM - 100%.

I was able to reach out for the Horn easily, did not find any difficulty. (might be my fingers are long ).

As per the manager & according to my booking number, I shall be getting my CBR by this month end or 1st week of June. This completes my waiting time of 5 months (PHEW...) but the wait is worth. I felt the bike is made for me as soon as I sat on it

I don't like to compare the CBR to any other bikes which are available in India as this falls in a complete different segment. THE CBR segment

Finally after much deliberations booked a Red C-ABS version yesterday. Dealer says I should get it in about a month as they have about 25 other bookings.

Nope nothing as yet. I have done around 110km on ODO. Till now nothing. I have used premium petrol as of now at India Oil. I have just added a tank pad to the bike to avoid any scratches.

Here's my take on the bike so far.

1) The Engine eases out after about 100 kms and then it start to show its real class.
2) Bike is very flickable compared to Ninja or even P220.
3) Combined ABS is awesome. You have to press a little hard on the rear brake though. I feel if you get used to C-ABS, braking on other bikes will need some re-learning.
4) You can hit speeds of around 90-100 easily within 5k rpm in 6th gear. So run-in isn't very boring.
5) Headlights are good. They provide decent visibility at night.
6) Quality of clip-on handlebars could have been better.
7) Front suspension is too soft. Dives a lot on hard braking.
8) Felt that 1st gear is very short. I've heard someone saying it maxes 55kmph on 1st gear. I doubt this. (I've seen Ninja doing this though)
9) Console is good. You'd find it small compared to an ZMR though.

Overall, I am very happy with the Bike so far. Waiting for the Odo to show 500kms and then I'm hitting the NICE road

Yes, I got to test the ABS last Saturday and it worked like charm.
The bold part quoted was one of the reasons that kept me away from ABS. There were other reasons too.

P.S.: Don't want to spark any ABS vs Non.ABS fight here. This is just purely my thoughts and decision.

c.abs v/s std

Guys, the D day is almost close for me. Am picking my red hot smoky babe this week. But I wanna make my decision abt the std or c-abs model. I am kind of skeptic about the perfect braking abilities of c-abs ones. I would request the owners of both versions to pour in their handy opinions asap.

Well the braking of the C-ABS is very good as long as you are using the front only and partially the rear. A hard on the rear gets the nose into a tendency to dive and that can take you by surprise (which in a wrong situation might prove to be a bad one). So, I would say go for the C-ABS, but at the same time don't let go of the habit of using both brakes (specially when braking hard) and don't get complacent with the C-ABS
