I had similar mixed feeling when I first took the test drive, Bike had just 20 kms on the odo. Engine dint openup yet. I felt the power was less compared to my 220 but then after I got my cbr and now after rioding it for 100 kms, I realised that the bike has enough power, You'll be doing triple digits within no time but you really don't feel like you're doing triple digits.

    CAUTION ALL CBR OWNERS :

Don't even dare riding your CBR for the first 100 kms wearing shorts, You'll endup with a fried ballsack.
    M800 - 2001 - 5787.
    Nano 2011 - 5086.
    Figo 2011 - 518.
    P220 - 2010 - 5995.
    CBR 250R - 2011 - 250.

I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

???? I ride it wearing shorts as still most of the run is local.. But int feel so.. There is hot air coming from radiator fan, but thats only when too much of clutching as in crowded places.. but nothing that can fry me..

Just back from a 50km ride.. And all i can say is, Awesome Awesome Awesome!!! just pull the throttle and i see 3digits on speedo.. Handling is a dream.. As of now, i just dont feel confident on hard cornering but may get over with time..
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

My friend had the same heating issue when it was just off the showroom, even I had this issue, Initially for the first 50-70 kms it use to heatup a lot, Hot air + heated fuel tank + traffic jams at noon = Fried sack. Both me and my friend had same issue but as the odo is now at 130 kms, Its all fine. Engine heat is pretty normal.

The bike is pretty good for indian roads I should say, It's a dream to drive on the highway. My dad drove the cbr today and when I asked him his impression, He said, P220 had better acceleration but this has an overall good package, Even power delivery, Better brakes, Much better handling.

                              • Got this from another forum from a dude whose ID is mantrig. (This is a copy paste from that forum)

The details below seem interesting especially the warranty plan.

                                Month/Kms :- 24 months / 24,000 kms comes as basic plan + 36 months / 36,000kms come with extended warranty = 60 months or 60,000kms (whichever is earlier)

                                Plan Cost :- 1200 /- INR

Plan includes :- Crank Shafts, Bearings, Piston, Anything engine related, wirings (not cables - but wires only), Clutch Plates (only with EW), Casing for leaks (no physical damage), Head, Cylinders.

I will get the documents tomorrow - 370 parts are covered under warranty. I will scan and upload once I have it in my hand.

Battery is under warranty only for 12 months.

No Plastics, cables, filter, bulbs etc.. are covered under warranty.

Conditions Apply :- All services should be conducted at authorized Honda A.S.S. else the warranty would be void / I asked, what if I am travelling and have no access to a Honda service center and it becomes imperative that I get the service done. He said that should not be a problem, all I need to do is call the Honda service center and inform them about the issues and location and it will be considered. But a prior authorization is required to ensure my warranty is intact.

                                Charges/Intervals :-

1st Servicing is to be done after 1000kms
Post that, the service interval is 6000 Kms. Oil change also after every 6K kms.
Since I was skeptical, I asked him that it sounds like a long interval. He responded saying, we also asked the company engineers the same question and they said with the synthetic oil being used this stands true. Also, the bike (engine) is designed keeping in mind the sports tourer image of the bike.

                                Servicing Cost @ Honda A.S.S :- 450/- INR

Cost of Oil Change :- He was not completely sure, but said it is approximately in the range of 650/- to 700/- bucks.
