BTW there is one advantage there in Assam, i.e., the Road tax is very less as compared to other states.. Specially people from Bangalore (like me), can understand the pain of paying the highest amount of Road tax in India (For the STD-CBR, INR 19500/-
)..

Chetan dude, if you are not going for the bike, do let me know. I'm willing to take up the red one evn though i hv booked a black one. Tired of this F**king waiting..... Send me a PM if you are not taking the red one.Originally posted by chetanpulsar View PostGot a call from my dealer Dream Honda, Whitefield, Bangalore that my bike has arrived
I thought the bike will be delivered sometime in June, but the dealer said mine was a unique choice (non-ABS, Red colour), hence the bike is ready. I had booked the bike on 16th March and was the 10th booking
Am in 2 minds now, to buy or not. I did take a test ride, however it was a short ride, could not access much about the bike. I thought of waiting till people get the bike and we get some genuine ownership reviews and some comparisons from the tests (by popular magazines).
What should I do buy now or wait to get proper reviews? Thinking about going to the dealership tomorrow and requesting for a long test ride before I make the payment.
PS: I am currently riding a 3.5yr old 30k kms done P220 Fi. Am not sure if the CBR is a worthy upgrade, comments welcome.

Vicky: congrats on getting the cbr mate. And that was I guess the first formal launch 'party' hosted by any Honda dealership anywhere in the country. Not even big cities had it. You lucky chap. The helmets are looking great as well

Test drives are available at Didar Motor's (Dunno about the people who have not booked thinge). They delivered 6 Bikes so far too. Again dunno about he other showrooms!
That what I did. Dual booking one at Chennai City and another one at Erode, April 2 and April 28. When Chennai dealer shooted up my date I went for a another city booking. Why dont ya try that btw ? Btw, my Erode dealer is delivering my bike in next 10 daysOriginally posted by hahahari View PostGuys any update from Chennai?? Anyone who had taken delivery?
Originally posted by sudeepnbr View PostIf I was you, first thing I would do is book in any one of the showrooms first (where they are taking bookings) and then start looking for showrooms where the waiting period is less (or no. of bikes booked is less). This way, once I find a showroom like that, I can cancel from the first place (since you get 100% refund on cancellation) and book here. If I don't find any showroom, atleast I'll not delay my booking in the other showrooms where waiting period is already high.2011 - CBR 250R (RED, Delivered) - Happy Man! - SOLD
2014 - Royal Enfield - Classic 500 Desert Storm - Awaiting

^^^ Test rides are also available at Didar, not sure if people are even reading my posts. These guys are the laziest in Chennai
Manasarovar & JSP have already started selling from May 1st week. JSP had 5 & are selling 4 of them. The next expected lot is unknown to them.

i booked on 2nd jan.. mine is 1st in the showroom(red std.)....went to the showroom and asked the dealer to call the guy who allocates bikes in delhi....he said honda will be giving only 1 bike to him and that to in june,if it is red std. i will get it after 6 months waiting........delivery is slow due production speed of only 4 bikes per day.......Originally posted by maddy_d007 View PostHi guys. Just a quick poll. Is there anybody else who's booked on the 1st of Jan or thereabouts and still waiting for deliveries or am I the only one. If there are others then can you tell me what spin the dealers have been giving you for not delivering
