There is at least a substantial upgarde in looks.

Actually even the NINJA 250 has a pretty decent one.

The Ninja250R has got the cutest saree guard in India.. minus a rear tyre hugger like the 2.0 Ver of the R15 which is an eyesore.

Apart from the rear tyre hugger the R15 Ver 2.0 is "Near Perfect" in terms of looks.. even without any performance upgrade in terms of bhp (or Ps) the R15 Ver 2.0 would still be Yummy.

After all not everybody would want to graduate straight into a 200-250 cc. A sexy 150 cc, super sports replica like the R15 Ver 2.0 would still find many takers.

More than one passenger?? I couldn't get you. Are you trying to say that it will prevent people from tripling on a R15? How many times have you seen this happening on a R15? Is that your definition for split-seats? Good Lord!

It is an irony that the 1.0 was criticized for not having split seats, & the 2.0 faces criticism for having split seats.

But like stefanm said, this is how a sports bike is.
Would the V1 be sold alongside the V2?

I didn't complain, anyway. Even on the V1, the pillion has always been a problem. Again, not complaining but there's no space for the pillion in the V2. Just my thoughts.
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

          • Is there any change in engine specs or not?

I dont think I'll ever see a woman wearing a saree as a pillion rider in the new r15 v2.....but who knows after sometime a new picture might pop up from some where which shows a guy taking his mom or aunt or some person wrapped in a saree

I am not sure side facing pillion ride will be possible on the R15 Ver2.0.. look closely apart from a raised pillion seat, the Ver2.0 DOES NOT have Grab Rails..!!

                  • Now this really looks proportionate with proper sized tyres. I hope there is at least some boost in performance, especially low end torque. Figures crossed.

I see it too often, more than three as well!

Split seats serve a function, the cornering bible explains it well, though indirectly.
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Being a re-engineered version, it will be the only R15 available now.
The only version 1.0s you might find would be leftover stock.

According to me, the tail panel is too high & too wide. I think the panel is disproportionate for the front.
Otherwise, the overall looks are a pleasant change.

                        My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Sideways on such a seat only means more weight on the rider.
Im glad at least these performance bikes are discouraging this type of posture.

                            • ^^ Anyways, these performance bikes are meant to be ridden single(solo) only, so pillions comfort is never an issue.
