if every one would have asked for the bill or have taken petrol only from the pumps where electronic bill is generated (like shell), i think we we wouldn't have faced this situation. government faced such heavy losses may be cuz our tax never reached them the way it should have reached!

lets make it a point to buy things with proper bill!

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

True. Recently Env minister had raised his voice against selling SUVs in India.
Anyway, as we all know it has to do with
              1. Rising crude oil prices
              2. Heavy taxes imposed

Reason # 1 is beyond our control & reason # 2 is somewhat justified.
If they don't impose high taxes consumption will increase and subsequently imports too.
              This can jeopardize economy.
I do agree that fuel is used for transportation of goods & other things.

Basically, what we really need here is -
              1. Good policy on fuel prices (considering productive & non-productive usage)
              2. A good public transport so that people don't have to use personal transport.
              3. A commitment from all responsible citizens of India to optimize use vehicle.

I feel sad when I see people travelling to offices in Innova, Safari, Scorpio etc or visit near by markets in their cars or bikes.
All we need is will power.

It often takes a humiliating overtake to understand that an early jump off the red light won't help them lead the pact. All I want to say is - Go after green.

Buddy that's because we don't have zillions of money to invade an OPEC country. Neither we are counted as very close to any one. Had we invaded Kuwait beforehand we wouldn't ever have undergone such situations.
Pakistan sells cheaper because it's near to OPEC and gets crude oil via land.

We can avoid these hikes if we start growing fuels in farms and already we are world's 7th biggest country.

WTH Today only I saw a NEWS telling that some Indian engineer and a normal man has made a system which would use 60% petrol and 40% water mixture as fuel for bikes and cars. And we could put that in our bikes too.
