Why do TVS crawls when it comes to introducing new models ? BTW, is this a Fi or non Fi model? Why can't they simply jump into 250cc segment & start competing? I'm sure BAL will be there sooner.

With the Motorcycle USA guys not too impressed with the ABS on the CBR250R.. even finding it dangerous, will have to wait and see what it does on the RTR.

By the way, what is the price premium on the RTR ABS..??
Any increase in performance on the RTR ABS model?

Dont understand the need for better braking in such low power bikes....
they should've given ABS with an engine upgrade too....

                        It's a NON FI.

TVS wont be making it FI as it'll make it pricier than P220 if it's gonna throw both FI and ABS !

I really doubt the ABS will last without a prob in this new thing, i think this system will surely trouble its first batch of owners and TVS will make some ammendments to it, and then it will discountinue it ! Like it did with its FI !

so you mean panic braking at 100km/hr is a piece of cake and no one will ever skid off?

Yeah panic braking @100 isnt easy but its not that hard too..
i think an engine upgrade is much more important for the Apache series now...
and btw i seriously think Tvs guys should hire someone from HH to do some stickering jobs for them, as its getting harder to differntiate among Apache series models..

+1 regarding CBR250R's ABS.. There have been reports of ABRUPT cut-in of the ABS in the 250 unlike the smoother operation of the Blade's ABS.. Lets see it on Indian Soil and then see.. Besides, those guys are Throttle Wringers.. Not a little sedate like us Indians..

There are tricks to do stunts on a C-ABS bike.. Reputed Mag testers are pretty experienced and will know how to do some stunts no matter what..

I'm pretty sure ABS isn't as complicated as FI.. Lets see the real time feedback and decide.. I'd say until then, TVS has the benefit of doubt to themselves..

Not unless the surface is a slick oily surface or a freshly laid blacktop.. I've done many high speed emergency stops from 120+ in my 220 and trust me, its not that tough if you concentrate while riding.. One major thing i feel that TVS should have done for the 180 ABS is to make the front brake lines as steel braided ones.. The feedback they offer is MIND-BLOWING compared to normal polymer brake lines.. Hope TVS incorporates it as an update..
