Educated bikers will definitely understand the benefits of the ABS system, but then they are a very very rare breed in India.
    +1 on that brother!

As per moneycontrol.com, the ABS variant would be 13-15 k more than the stock 180. Now, that's a huge amount which TVS is asking for. Demanding that sort of premium for a 180 cee cee bike is just too much. I wouldnt have mind shelling out that much dough for a 220/250cc bike ,though!!

Things are not looking good for Apache ABS
I mean if the riders at Xbhp are debating over its feasibility then i cant say anything about a guy on the street....
Time to work on Market Research TVS!
Men who still dream of being a pilot or an astronaut are yet to ride a motorcycle.

Well even at 13-15K, it is 50% cheaper than the Honda ABS.

But then we should not compare the two as i believe the Honda one is more advanced and also a C-ABS System!!

But the Combined Braking on the CBR250R is probably like the simple mechanical * one found on the Deluxe version of the Activa Scooter.

[* Update: That's what's Motorcycle USA is saying. Source: Motorcycle USA]

Moreover the Guys at Motorcycle USA were not convinced with the effectiveness of the C-ABS system on the CBR250R. Watch the video to hear the comments..

Guys...!! Any hint on launch date..?

I was wondering if it would be either a 'launch' or like a silent launch..?

Well, this is how TVS goofs up everytime, apart from the ABS and [DC lighting which is common among bikes nowadays] they dont have anything new on the bike, same old looks etc. Wish they had atleast come with a new fairing and more goodies. I hardly see this one selling, it will sell lesser than the FI version of RTR. Personally speaking they should have launched ABS with a fresher bike.

The problem is I skidded only because of the trusted and super-heroic tvs shrichakra rubber! No braking or wheel lock involved..

I personally feel that TVS should have thought of changing the rubber first before investing capital on this ABS-thingy..They could have saved a large amount of investment.

Also, these tires will make ABS work overtime as they skid on each and every surface that is known to any biker around the world..
With such poor tyres, I seriously think this ABS is gonna under-perform.
I mean, with tyres which skid even WITHOUT braking, hows this ABS gonna help..??

TVS was devoloping soft compound tyres, may be it'll offer/launch them with the ABS model.
