The fully faired version of ninja is coming. Wrong choice of words in my earlier post. Sorry for confusion.

I meant to say that even if it is fully faired, it does not look like a big size bike (read as litre class bike)

    Thanks MG for clarifying.

It is fully faired but what he meant is that the design flow is not like other Supersports and GT650 resembles more to a Supersport

+1. Thats what I saw on last sunday. Its not the metallic green. And the bike was the same as the one in the pic posted on this page.

The GT650 is also more powerful, producing close to 10bhp more and hey,Clip ons always sell in India .

AFAIK the 650R's posture is very relaxed,so relaxed that slightly taller ppl dont look all tht great on it.
And considering tht there are already inferior products in terms of quality selling well in India...i again dont see HYOSUNG in trouble.

    anyway,lets wait and see

    a pic from my side

That is one sweet little candy.....freaking cool!!!
    Love the orange color!!1

I have repeated it time and again that the GT coming to India has lesser bhp than the one selling outside and most probably the Ninja650 will have a better top speed (Based on my ride experience).

Btw red single tone is my favourite colour in GT.

P.S: Read the OD GT650 article. For a change a mag article which truly reflects what the bike actually is.

at a sub 5 lac ex-showroom price... the only saving grace for the GT650R would be a price drop.

    which is very possible.

    a GT650R at an ex-showroom price of 4.3/4.5 lac.

possible??? will Garware bring it on??

and the green n the Ninja 650R is a metallic lime green.

this doesn't hold true with 650cc buyers... they're much more savvy than ur "average" discover/splendor crowd.

not at a 5/6 lac price tho.

there's going to more nit-picking the more someone spends.

P220 is known for its poor handling at corners anyway.

it is probably the review of one particular rider but i hav found it to be exact opposite as every time i enter a corner, the bike seems to lean eagerly i feel more confident on GT than on my P220 in case of leaning...

    a miniscule population at that

N650R - for the rider who wants to do it all on a single bike.99 % of indians that is.from touring to minor corner cravings & bit of a rush at top speeds.
The bike is solid ,doesn't vibe & has an overall super build over hyosung.
    +1 to that.

You forgot to add one more class - a class who just wants to buy a bigger looking bike instead of spending for a litre class bike. AFAIK, Ninja will not be fully faired, has no split seat and has no clip ons. So it would not give the feel of riding a litre class bike. (I am talking about not a serious biker but a poser and Feel is the key word.)

As sudeepnbr rightly said - If I was in the market for a 650 twin bike, I wouldn't mind spending 50k more on Ninja than Hyosung. However, my lack of knowledge, inability to have test ride of comparable bikes, would focus my attention to Hyosung because of full fairing, split seat, clip ons etc.

    LOLZ!!!
When I said, "it might easily eat up around half the sales of Hyosung for sure", I'm considering that already 50% have either cancelled their GT650R or made up mind that it's ER6F for them. And from the remaining 50%, some must be seriously considering and some are waiting to see it in flesh.

Well, if I was having enough money for a 650cc, and was given a choice between the two, I would definitely choose the ER6F.

But yes there is one doubt...we as Indians (most of buyers check money and cc) will go for the Hyosung..the only reason and statement will be---"arey yar yeh 650 woh bhi 650 toh kyu 40-50k jyada dale") Such type of buyers are still there who do not know the specifications and numbers of these bikes they might purchase the koreans!!!.....
I cant wait for the launch nemore!!
Nowadays customers know more about the products being sold than the dealers themselves. The power of the net and forums has made the customer more informed and educated. Yes, we will still have a few who would make statements like above.
