          • the big kiwi almost look like big sized R15 in many angles .. which personally i don;t like ...
i like the GT650R look a lot .. and provided money i choose GT's on N's anyday .... [a slight less power doesn;t bother me ... and 100% assurance i can give the maintaining this Big Green will be expensive bussiness ... over GT].

Hell ...moreover .. if i am paying 5+lac .. i want a superbike size and style .. a marginal performance doesn;t matter i guess .. and better than any indian bike quality will satisfy most

Big sized R15? I wonder what you want to say? What does the R15 have in common with N650? N650 has a big rear tyre, same as GT...? I'm thinking about using it everyday for commuting. Will it be bad under these circumstances?

You're right about maintenance costs and about GT's looks over N650 (subjectively), even though I think opposite. Just can't stand those 2 headlights, one over another, MV Agusta like...

The headlights is the thing that i loved in the GT most. n650 has more of an p220 stance(correct me if i am wrong) which would be a boon for people who are gonna use it for everyday commuting or long touring, whereas GT650 will have a more aggresive stance giving it an almost proper racebike stance. Both bikes are meant for different segment of consumers

Yup .. u read it correct BIG sized R15 [looking at many angle] everything is big [wt i meant is doesn;t look like sport bike, which it isn't]

Ru sure u want to use it for every day commuting ?? .. i personally feel some wt uncomfortable in thinking everyday use of 600+CC big bike [personal view]

if the above question ans is yes, then no other bike will suit u , than this one

Actually yes, commuting. A lot of my commutes are on the highway, Jaipur Road. Even my Pulsar manages an average speeds on the north side of 50 kmph.
And in this small city I live in, traffic jams are a rarity even in city!

Albeit I'm not sure about keeping only a 600... So, I think I might keep my Pulsar too.

And yes, the headlight design of both bikes, is very subjective. I know a guy who chose Ninja's headlamp as better, and 2 other guys liked GT's better...
GT is definitely sporty, given the riding position and engine character.

It seems like GT is an evolution of RTR 180 (performance, vibes, high rpms, etc.) while Ninja is an evolution of P180 (mileage, comfort, commuting, etc.). Just kidding though...

plz dont compare it with a 250 CC !
the best competition would be from hyosung GT650R, or with honda CBR600RR(dunno when they r gonna be here though)
why is everyone interested in challenging CBR250R ?

                          • they should plan sth to lower the price in India

Not much time guys...max by aug we will have bookings started!!!!!!!!!

But yes cost....since it will be the first genuine 650 apart from Korean ones!!! the cost will be like the 250R---very high from rest of the bikes.....and then may be next year the honda's and yammies will strike with a low cost saving 600cc!!!

This is just a prediction...i hope it remains one
i agree with you about your prediction.. i really love kawi's.. i was kinda depressed when i heard the news of honda launching its 250 @ price 1.40 lacs lesser than that of ninja.. and in International market both bikes are at same price..
i just wish if kawi may plan to open up a plant in India itself.. it will surely help them hiking their sales in India.. their bikes are nice.. they will surely get more sales with lower price tags just like Honda set an example with their 250..

Please someone from Kawi read this post..

                              • blinga! blinga! bling!

been doing a lot of looking up on the 650R recently.

with a few front suspension mods and a pair of clip-ons...
i'd pick this over the GT650R.
                                .
