Guys, now don't start comparing this with Accord, or maybe Lamborghini Murcielago.
It's like comparing Coolers with Cages!
I just had an agreement with my dad, and he had many queries. I answered them all, except for one- he says if I join a job in another city, where/ how will I keep/ maintain the bike?
I had no answer. If I move from Ajmer to any other city for a good job, what's the bike gonna do and where?
But, If the N is going for 5.5L OTR, I'm gonna go get it anyways. Especially if I shift to Bangalore...
Just hope Bajaj keep the same price, and give great service (which I'm sure they will, given N250's reports).Last edited by Samarth 619; 05-05-2011, 12:56 AM.---

There was a accord here . I dont know when it did 0 - 100km/hr in 5 secs. I think it was around 8 - 10secs as Octavia Vrs used to blow the hell out of poor accordOriginally posted by xionite View Post@prasoon: 5.5L OTR??? or ex-showroom?
a honda accord can do that.
well... almost.
. top-end was sweet though.
Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

Dude going by your conversion.Superbikes should be sold at 8Lacs plus.Originally posted by antz.bin View PostConverting above prices to INR
N250R Rs.3,33,760.13 (OTR anywhere in India is less than this amount)
N650R(ER-6f) Rs.4,40,146.63 (Why would this be IMPOSSIBLE?)
ZX6R Rs.6,23,571.63
ZX10R Rs.8,80,366.63
@Everyone else.. OTR 5.5/6 Lac is not an alright price for N650. The Alright price is Rs. 4.5 lac.
But it doesn't happen they are sold here for 14 Lacs plus.

The 250 is assmebled in india... I do not think the the zx series will be assembled in India... so add approx 80% to te cost (CKD being actual + 30 and cbu being actual + 110)... I am too confused about the 650r to comment..."stay hungry, stay foolish."
To those who have attitude... My middle finger salutes you...!

Anything below 800cc will have to be assembled and homologated in India to be sold in India. Thats why Hyosung is assembling in India.Originally posted by j4zb4 View PostThe 250 is assmebled in india... They cannot sell the 6R in India if they don't 'at least' assemble it in India.. And CKD duties are a LOT less than CBU as you just mentioned. Prices are in front of all to see. The website I referred for these prices is

Their seems to be something wrong with the digital control system.. the speed he touched was 200 but the relative speed of other cars did not felt so.. otherwise the traffic would be disappearing at a much larger speed. and look at the paint strips relative to his bike speed.. not at all 200.. that is what i feel..RIP Marco

My bad... i guess thats what it really stands for.. but "off the rack" / "on the road".. same thing brother...!!Originally posted by sourav2688 View PostAs far as i know, OTR stands for On The Road price as in the price the customer has to pay inclusive of the standard and local taxes.
Off the rack is more of a slang... so..!

the bike in that vid is going half the speedo indicated speed... or even slower.Originally posted by vkuchhal View PostTheir seems to be something wrong with the digital control system.. the speed he touched was 200 but the relative speed of other cars did not felt so.. not at all 200..
Off The Rack would imply the price of the product as is.Originally posted by Prasoon View PostMy bad... i guess thats what it really stands for.. but "off the rack" / "on the road".. same thing brother...!!

On The Road would imply the total cost of the product including tax/registration etc.
two very different meanings from the same acronym (OTR)
