Bajaj will prolly drop the N250R pricing in the coming months.

    seems very likely.

the ER-6f and the N250R are two comepletely different classes of motorcycles in the UK.

the UK has a "25kW or 33 bhp motorcycle law" for learner motorcyclists.

so Kawasaki was well aware that both the Ninjas wouldn't eat into each other.

but that's not the case in India tho... with the "one license ride all" rule.

so Bajaj will have to price this right.

but with the 650R... they're not the only guys out there.
so they're going to have to price this well.

      bring it on!
Yup,the times have changed and other manufactures are also producing 250cc bikes at half the Ninja250 price.

Yup,if you consider their own Ninja250 costing 3.12Lacs and their Ninja650 to cost 5Lacs

        +1.
If its indeed going to be killer, then it should be priced on similar lines to the GT650R as thats the only competitor it has in the segment at present and its getting good number of bookings. Less than 5.5 OTR would be rocking for Delhi guys where taxes are less.

and if killer literally means "killer pricing"...
        then i'd expect a price-tag lower than the GT650R
        !
        - wish it happens.
The N250R is such a good and smooth bike and i expect the same from 650R, looks good, good dash, should be smooth and after all its a Kawasaki - brand image matters

        • Spotted a green Ninja 650 on the Pune-Bangalore highway last night. The bike had blank yellow plates. Was ridden by an auto journalist. So looks like Bajaj has started giving it to bike magazines for reviews.

It looked awesome. My money on the N650 if its priced right...

A not so little birdie told me that the first bike was manufactured yesterday and has been given for run in to the said journalist.

Tussi great ho! You have contacts everywhere, sir. Honestly, the bike looks beautiful in person as opposed to in pictures. Especially in the night with its LED tail lamps.

              • Ok I have some positive news... There is another showroom coming up for South Mumbai... Very close to Phoenix mills... The showroom is gonna handle Ninjas and KTMs... By mid 2012 that showroom is gonna be selling 6 models -3 ktms (200, 690 and 990 duke) and 3 ninjas (250 650 and 1000)

I suppose it will be the z1000 and definitely not the zx10r

                • From one of my conversations with an inside trusted source, the 650R will be launched in June or 1st week of July. The source will join us for rides from August onwards.

Was told that the pricing is going to be competitive and some parts are sourced from local suppliers like meters from pricol and cables etc. from a local supplier to keep costs low. This is true for the N250R as well. These parts are sent to Kawa for approval and quality checks on a periodic basis.

Aditya, Vishwas sir has already mentioned in his post some pages back that the launch is on 8th June. He's the one who broke the news that Garware would be getting Hyosung to India when nobody could even imagine Garware doing so So the Ninja news has to be true. Plus the fact that a said auto journalist has been given the bike to put miles onto it and I believe the bike must have done more than 500 kms on the odo by now. So the launch is very near.

And about the pricing, lets keep our fingers crossed.

The only bikes from Kawasaki that are going to come to India are the ones branded with the Ninja tag. So no Z1000 or Z750

So then it would be the Ninja 1000... There isn't much difference between the 2... They are essentially the same bike... Atleast I couldn't find any major difference in the tech specs or the looks apart from a semi fairing that the Ninja 1000 carries in comparison to the naked Z1000...

edit: The Z1000 has a slightly sportier set up... Whereas the ninja 1000 has a more relaxed/touring setup... But essentially they are the same thing...

I don't have much of info. Whatever I knew, I have shared here. Please understand that I am no wikileaks in the making.

ZX6R or ZX10R are no show for India.

some bike around 1400 cc is also on the cards. 10R not on recent list.

The bird has already grown too much (that is the reason why I wrote not so little birdie)
