The green on Ninja 650R is the same one as Ninja250R i.e Lime Green and not Metallic Green.

I have repeated it time and again that the GT coming to India has lesser bhp than the one selling outside and most probably the Ninja650 will have a better top speed (Based on my ride experience).

Btw red single tone is my favourite colour in GT.

P.S: Read the OD GT650 article. For a change a mag article which truly reflects what the bike actually is.

AFAIK the 650R's posture is very relaxed,so relaxed that slightly taller ppl dont look all tht great on it.
And considering tht there are already inferior products in terms of quality selling well in India...i again dont see HYOSUNG in trouble.

        anyway,lets wait and see

        a pic from my side

That is one sweet little candy.....freaking cool!!!
        Love the orange color!!1

+1. Thats what I saw on last sunday. Its not the metallic green. And the bike was the same as the one in the pic posted on this page.

The bike looks fully faired. Not sure what Vishwas sir meant

It is fully faired but what he meant is that the design flow is not like other Supersports and GT650 resembles more to a Supersport

            • The fully faired version of ninja is coming. Wrong choice of words in my earlier post. Sorry for confusion.

I meant to say that even if it is fully faired, it does not look like a big size bike (read as litre class bike)

              Thanks MG for clarifying.

Yup.that was the only thing that got me disappointed.
Otherwise the bike is well engineered and is a popular Japanese brand.

                  Point taken

Btw, the GT is just too big for me. The Ninja is just right for me.

                      • i don;t think in any way GT sales will affect ... even if the price range is close to each other..

in every 10 buyers 7 ppl ..don;t know exactly wt the machines packs in side and wt's its abilities .. and more of them will tend towards looks department .. [don;t argue on this .. its true thing ]

GT has good look and all the gismos which a superbike [read as sport] has .. and performance wise a very decent

N650 has good performance and lacks very much on looks department .. and never come closer to superbike level in appearance .. it resembles me of new Karizma .. with full faring without split seats .. and a big front faring and unmatched normal handlebar

i see N650 as a touring GOD .. with those features .. and in the pic posted previously the bike seems pretty small and tall persons might have nightmare adjusting to it

You are absolutely bang on. As I mentioned earlier the red one put in the showroom attracts a lot of attention (dual colour doesn't cut any ice with me).

Btw the surprising news is that of the total booking of 120 by Garware till date half are ST7

Not exactly, I'm 5'11" and had no issues riding the N650 but the other way round it is true for small riders riding the GT.

Wow.. this is some interesting news ... wonder what makes ST7 more appealing ..when Harley's there for similar price

Indeed the number of booking seems very promising .. in just 2 months

                              Important facts..

#1 ST7 is a very very good motorcycle by itself. A proper classic cruiser with decent cornering abilities, very good power and torque bands, more than decent GC (170mm) and a good tank range on its 18 litre fuel tank.

The HDs in the same range are the Superlow and the Iron.

#2 Superlow cannot take a decent corner or go over a speed bump without scraping the bottom.. because.. plainly.. it is Super-low ! (GC: 100mm)
#3 Iron is also a very low motorcycle (GC: 120mm) with a partly 12 litre fuel tank leading to a very small tank range. I mean the motorcycle will have to stop for fuel more than I stop to take a leak . The motorcycle.. though mean looking.. is not of much use outside the city.
#4 None of the above 2 is a chrome filled classic cruiser. So looks like the Koreans are beating the Americans in their own game!

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                              • Whoa the N650 thread is on Fire

Good to see that this is the most eagerly awaited bike for a LOT of us

Between the N650 and GT650, well different bikes for different people. For me it is the N650 simply because it the more practical option out of the two.

As for difference in performance, for most us coming from 17-21 PS machines the difference in power is going to overwhelmingly enough to forget the subtle difference in power between the two 650's

                                All hail the N650R
