The same that would happen to all the Bajaj scooters that had their exhaust below the floor of the chassis. AFAIK, the positive pressure in the exhaust pipe due to the gases is sufficient to prevent the water from being drawn in. However, if you go through water and drop the revs, water will enter the silencer damaging the catalytic converter. Last night while passing near the PBK showroom next to Ruby hall clinic in Pune, I saw the N650 being ridden by one guy and 2 guys waiting outside the showroom to get it inside. It was the same green one. Not sure if it was the same one that I'd spotted on the highway..
Today morning I went to the showroom to ask about the bike. The guy at the desk tells me there's some time for the launch. I ask him about the pricing. Again no answers. Then I tell him that I saw the bike last night and I have seen it on the highway some weeks back. The guy is like "
We haven't got any bike". I told him that I saw the bike last night and thought it may be a display bike. Hence I came to check it out. He's like we don't know about it (with a slight smile). Guess they are keeping it all top secret till the launch.

:P there is this side of me that digs the HD and then there is this which craves for HyperMotard! I am weird :P
For records: I totally loved the N650R more than the inline four counterpart that *cough* Bike India claims *cough* were tested
Its a very apt bike for Indian conditions, enough useable power for touring conditions, good braking (which tenhut didn't like for somereason though!) And the best part is the stance which is so much more practical for long rides!
This and the KTMXXX in the Garage and am happy for half a decade may be!
