i'm ordering my Yoshimura Carbon TRC Slip-On once this news is confirmed.
so maybe Bajaj just launched the Ninja 400R at 4.5 lac.
.
and the 4.5 lac pricetag mentioned is of exshowroom Pune.

1. 3.2L is the on road price of the 250R and 4.5 is the ex-showroom of the 650R.Originally posted by HH_HUNK View PostDamn I still doubt this 4.5Lac theory. I mean Bajaj is selling 250R for 3.2 then how can they sell 650R for 4.5L?
It implies that they are taking huge profit from 250R (Its my guess)
Lets see if they place it below 5.5L then Gt650R is dead and Honda might consider launching the new CBR600F ABS at a reasonable price.
If you compare ex-showrooms 2.69 and 4.5, then you'll see a difference of almost Rs. 2 Lacs. Which I believe is enough to change minds, specially with petrol prices skyrocketing.
It will kill GT, unless GT's price is revised, but not the N250R.
2. Honda considering something, means it will take them 2 years to launch it, history being a witness to that. Remember CBR 1000RR launch?---

More or less what Bajaj had promised last year if my sources are rightOriginally posted by Nilhawk View Postguyz, just saw review of ninja 650r at Zig Wheels show on ET Now channel. It was reviewed by Adil Jal Darukhanwala. They pitted it against gt 650r. And u know what is the price of Ninja 650r? It only 4.5 lac ex showroom. Holy Shit

Where do I sign?Originally posted by bprags View Post4.5 Lakhs is indeed a shocker. Ninja250R and GT650R RIP
.
Thanks for the news buddy.
@Satyen :- Hope you keep your word
.
The N250R is not dead yet, its a different league... but yeah a price cut there might help it!
+1 on Garware.... there is a price cut else a long list of freebies coming with the bikeOriginally posted by xionite View Posthaha. 4.5 lac. it definitely IS a Ninja.
The flying Ninja kick.

i'd say goodbye GT650R...
but it's not long before Garware revise the price of the already overpriced GT650R.
.
Common Sense: Most business work for profit... so does this... so does every one elseOriginally posted by The Bad Wolf View PostCommon business sense says that if Kawasaki-Bajaj are providing a premium segment bike at 4.5 ex-showroom, then they must still be making a handsome profit.
This is true for Hyosung too... I am hoping this will cause a steep drop in GT650's prices.
This IS definitely the right approach... This also allows them to pit the zx6r or the z750 in a nice niche....Originally posted by pp180 View Post4.5 lax ex showroom
it's a killer price, Bajaj has surely given a choke slam
to garware motors .
101% sure now garware motors will drop prices of GT and ST7 else they can't survive.
WIN WIN situation for us ( bikers).
I also heard that though Ninja will be launched on 9th June but it would be available in cities other than pune at the end of June, any body has some info about it. Vishwas bro were are you
.
DONT start the 400R thing again man!Originally posted by xionite View Post.

The same price difference exists in UK too! Its a different genre man! and PS: 3.2 is OTR. 4.5 is Ex Showroom... so assume 5ish OTROriginally posted by HH_HUNK View PostDamn I still doubt this 4.5Lac theory. I mean Bajaj is selling 250R for 3.2 then how can they sell 650R for 4.5L?

Relatively Credible source Mr SpoilsportOriginally posted by payeng View PostMaybe Zigwheels is just guessing the price for the Ninja 650R.

But yeah... WE hope they are right! Atleast I do!
I dont think a bike like zx6r makes sense in India. But with news about the R6's and gixxers coming in (read somewhere dont remember where) so who knows!Originally posted by xionite View Postso if and when the ZX6R get's here... it'll be priced sub 6 lac.

.GT650R will stay at that price. The bike has a great road presence and everyone goes ga ga over it and most of the buyers will buy it only for its face value.Originally posted by riot View PostWTF!!
. Thats gonna blow GT650R away. And i have heard Ninjette can powerwheelie

Just saw Zigwheels on ET now , It clearly mentioned that it's NINJA 650R , don't know when/who started this confusion of it being a 400R ,
It's definitely a 650R.
Check out the video here Kawasaki Ninja 650R: Bigger & better!-Auto-ET NOW-Economic Times
Any idea when we can check the bike in flesh in Delhi and the color options.Last edited by pp180; 06-05-2011, 10:32 AM.

Hope they are telling the truth. Adil was the story teller & the guy who drove the 650r started off with a massive wheelie. He was going ga ga over the performance of the bike. Though i didnt expected but this one is a real beauty to look at, beleive me friends. In pictures i saw front forks were silver but it had black ones just like ninja 400r. It also had rear grab rails like 400r.
also you might know the pricing of 250r and 650r in UK.. they are probably (still in doubt) using the same theory here..
