A touring bike needs better ergonomics and pillion comfort. Clip ons and higher placed split seats do not achieve that... especially over long distances.sigpic

"Sports" category...
Q. What exactly makes a Bike wear that moniker called: "Sports"?
Q. Shouldn't "motocross" bikes which are made only for the "Motocross" competition deserve to be called as "Sports" Bikes?
Q. Should heavy/bulky bikes like the Honda VFR1200, Yamaha XJR 1300 be called as "Sports" Tourers as their designed for highway touring and NOT for any competitive "Sports".
"Sports" as it seems has broad meaning.
To me:
1. "Sports" means "Fun".
2. Not every bike needs to be a Race Track tool /Super Sports replica to be called a "Sports" Bike.
3. Not every bike needs "Split Seats", "Clip ons", "Full fairing' to be called a "Sports" Bike

Well, their sentence was "..around Rs. 4.5 Lacs". But they still seemed pretty confident, because they said its priced below the GT, which is 4.69.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostRelatively Credible source Mr Spoilsport
But yeah... WE hope they are right! Atleast I do!
I dont think a bike like zx6r makes sense in India. But with news about the R6's and gixxers coming in (read somewhere dont remember where) so who knows!
As for the ZX 6R, even I was complaining about its impracticality all these recent years.
But even I can't disagree, that it has a tremendous fan following...
Those racers down south, racing in the 600cc Class, might also need some really "legal" and "serviceable" alternative, once and for all.
It will sell and I stress that it will surely cripple the Litre class bikes, if not kill it.---
Brotherhood, Rules, Freedom. Xbhp.

Just saw the zig wheels video clip and i am shocked. Was expecting the ninja 650R to be priced at a premium but this is AWESOME news.
RIP Hyosung.
Mojo is already six feet under.
Ninja 250R RIP?Originally posted by bprags View Post4.5 Lakhs is indeed a shocker. Ninja250R and GT650R RIP
.
GT650R RIP - I agree fully.
Ninja 250R and 650R are different bikes and priced differently. The price on road for a 650R will be around 5L (or more) and the 250R is around 3L on road. Do you think everyone who is in the market for a 250R will pay 2L more for a 650R?

Oh i get it:
250 cc : 3L
650 cc - 5L
But why stop there? you can get an 883 cc for 7 or 8 lacs na? from Harley Davidson.
ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

250R RIP? No wayOriginally posted by n_aditya View PostNinja 250R RIP?

GT650R RIP? I think so. Perhaps the only reason people may prefer the GT is because it looks like a proper track tool (not too sure of that). My personal opinion is that the Kwacker is definitely more value for money, more fun per rupee and much better built.
I am not too sure of the 650R's "on track" capabilities. There would be people who ride this machine on the track and they might be good at it; but I feel that this is not a machine for the track. The 250R on the other hand is just right for the track; for people who want a machine for the track, this is it.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostNinja 250R and 650R are different bikes and priced differently. More than that, some of the people who bought the 250R stretched out their 1.5L budget to buy the Ninja. That particular audience may not stretch it out further.
I feel that the real tourers who buy this machine will love it for the stability, robustness, flexibility and speed. That plus, people who buy larger machines and prefer mid-category machines as their second choice, would love to have this Ninja parked in their garages
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Well! I respect your views, but I find the N650R to be more VFM, compared to the N250R and the other big bikes that are on sale at present. Lets not bring in HD into picture, at least I dont look at them in the same way as the kawasaki and other japanese bike makers.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostJust saw the zig wheels video clip and i am shocked. If the 650 is priced 4.5 lakh ex showroom, I expect kawa to slash the price of the N250R (a wish
).
