Yamaha compared with Bajaj ? get a life dude !!

R15 v2. R16. R20. R25...

if this is a 250 version of the R15 (and i don't think it is)...

it's going to be one bad mother.

Even a 200 cc mill would be a great package. The revamped styling makes it so much more appealing.

1. This is the 2011 model of R15 with a slight increase in bhp. I am kind of sure of this. With the recent launch of CBR and its huge following, Yamaha has stopped the production of new R15s and its plan is to stop with whatever productions it has made with new 2011 edition R15. Its planning something bigger like 200cc or 250 cc. To have a go with CBR 250r or Ninja 250r, it has to be R-series inspired. If its a fazer 250cc, to beat cbr or ninja would not be that easier.

2. Yamaha has its own way of launching bikes, remember it was all like a clandestine affair with R15. It just hit the Indian market and bike lovers all of a sudden. So, we have a bare chance to get hold of the pics or concrete news. But, its sure that some higher cc from Yamaha is hitting roads this June or July. And it would be R20 (for 200cc) or R25 (for 250cc). If its fazer 250cc, the R factor would find a long absence for sure.

3. If we talk about the price, R15 is way costlier if we try to draw a proportion between price and cubic capacity. But this high price tag really gets compensated with the superb performance of the baby machine. It really gave a tough run for so called higher cc bikes like p220, zma, zmr, etc. It really stimulated Bajaj to replace FI system with carburetor based p220 to beat R15 in terms of speed. Well, many Indians did forget the quality factor in their maiden way to tranquilize their hunger for speed. I am not making any offense. P220 is a rock solid bike but every other stuff has some merits or demerits. So, coming to the point now, if its gonna be R25, am sure it would cross 2 lakhs for sure. I remember the news during the launch of R15, the promoter said it would be really costly for Indian fans when he was asked why not a higher cc for India instead of just 150cc?

With the unexpected delay in CBR250R deliveries, am sure many will be drawn towards Yamaha if it comes up with a R25. Having ridden R15 for long, I would go for Yamaha any day leaving other brands aside.

Hey man! This is the one optimistic view to hold on to my patience. Strategically, you are correct. However, I think that until we don't get an inside news; things will remain as it is in this thread.

The reason is, I, for sure a Yamaha lover and will not switch over to CBR 250 at any given day from my R15. So, I hope that Yamaha will make their product worth a wait. Moreover, I don't think that one can think anything less expected from a company as performance oriented as Yamaha...

Yamaha if you are gonna launch this bike (read R20, R25) please launch it before July, coz that's the time i will get the CBR250R, please don't disappoint me. If you launch it before that get a sure customer. so that i can add my third yamaha bike to my sig
