i Been to the yamaha show room, spoken to the manager, he said it will be launching sometime next year. As of now no info about R15 2011 model

how about you guys when you are expecting

A FREIND OF HAS BOOKED ABLUE COLOR NEW UPCOMING R15 WITHA A BOOKING PRICE OF RS 5000.... 1st i didnt believed him but dan i went to the showroom and asked, they said bikes are ready but only for pure competion issues no ads or promotions r released and even the sales r not up yet...
just like the KTM duke was in talks but then der was news that all major companies r launching 250 cc bikes.. so now KTM 200 cc replaced KTM duke 125.
just like that if CBR goes very well den The UPCOMING R15 WILL BE R25....

i too can book GT250R which gonna release next year with garware

.. ok ..joke aside ..you see.. its not important to book upcoming bike ..wt important is when it will be available [check CBR for exmp.. even after official announcement aslo still bike is not available largely] ...

More over i have a very concrete information from reliable source that .. yamaha is gonna release a 250 by this year end .. in which avatar it will come its not sure ... [more possibility of FZ avatar]

yeah brother.. they said an R15 is much possible rather than an R25, they r waiting for let Honda do with its CBR250R den will launch the new r15, they also said dat a new 250 cc street bike based on FZ16will b coming in dis year...
and here in mumbai there r even news dat some people saw an FZ250 in back and grey color.. with both front and rear tyres wider than FZ16 and a little different from FZ16.. they were sure it was not FZ16... but a new bike..
may be it was on testing

Cuz I'd like to book 1 in Black too.

I've asked Malad-West-Yamaha 100 times in last 1 month and they simply deny any news at all

New FZ-S & Fazer colours

I have recieved confirmation that new FZ series is gonna launch in next few days with kick option with slight increase in price (within 3rd week of May ).Also new colour options in FZ-S & Fazer will be available.No changes in technical specs.There is still no such confirmation about new R15 / R25 or any other new bike & news about old R15's production being stopped is false.

A FZ16 based 250cc(new engine), a revamped looking R15 and a bigger engine SZ bike is what seems to be a concrete concluding inference from all speculations and hypes.

Yamaha India now works on its own products, while the Global wing keeps supply of Big bikes.

The R15 was a made for India only product, now taken up by Global Yamaha to be launched in Australia.
The 250cc Fazer of India too is going to be different from the one sold in South America, methinks.

What are you saying dude? Even ordinary older FZ's can be fitted with a Kick Lever in Rs. 100 from any Yamaha dealer? I myself saw a FZ fitted with a kick start, when I was gone for Workshop Training.

Come on man. How can Yamaha release another FZ with kick start when they already have the option?

I suggest ONCE AGAIN that we stop posting in this topic ourself. Put it on hold until you get concrete info or pics...!

My recent Visit to wakdewadi, pune Yamaha Factory Shop outlet the Sales manager himself told me the current year fazer 250 and their new 150 cc scooter is gonna launched and both gonna be liquid cooled. Apart from that the Yamaha 250 which they have in some asian markets is next year.

Also they are working on yamaha 400 and a R6 which will be available in 6 lakhs INR by next year mid.

Now i cant take it as a speculation at all as its told by a very senior person and that too company authorised chap.

This is too tempting, but what they mean by "working on", does it means the R6 made for India? Noooo
