Guest repliedST 7 Vs Harley Superlow
Guys, i guess harley is much appreciated in pricing now.
ST7 comes around 6.5 l on road , where as Harley Super low 883 comes for 5.5lac if we add few more thousands to it for insurance , octroi, etc, 75k then also 6.25 on road...
Doesn't this sounds good.
883cc cruiser for 6.25-6.5 lac.
Harley has done more awesome marketing strategy as compare to Garware/hyosung...

A veritable monopoly ensued my mind, the irrational motive for the world had a rugged rational want in my heart and soul....the fervor for maneuvering, speed and raw power is induced within my existence, shalth 'I'll' scour contentment thy I embark the quarter mark 'Speed of Sound'!!!!
The legendary masterpiece act of Heath Ledger puts it righteously: Madness is like Gravity, all it takes is a little Push Enrooted from the realm of fathomless want of Power, I have graduated to another level. 27th April was the day when I bid goodbye to the Ninja 250R to levitate high from the lush green trotting landscape (Lime Green Ninja 250R) and heave into the fancifying serene beauty of snow covered mountains (White Glory GT650R). 70 Days waiting: A testimony of my subtle patience paid off today. Having the experience of owning, ripping plethora of steeds, the ensued passion has just grown stronger.
Since Bangalore had an issue with the earlier Dealer, and even the new Dealers setup is not up, the delivery ascertained more on an endless push from my end. Finally, got it directly shipped from the HO Pune. Even when the assurances of earlier delivery mocked back as a fallacy, it was dis-heartening but nevertheless the D-Day annihilates the prior experiences, and gluing profoundly on the GT650R brings a smile on my face. What further gravitates the beauty: me being the first Customer in the State of Karnataka!
Some Pictures:

Rewinding the memories, Ninja 250R on its first day of arrival (13-Mar-2010) along with Yamaha R15 (still have it)

Special Thanks to my Father, he had/has been the utmost dauntless support, a man who has visioned my dreams through his own eyes. Love you Dad!
Cheers!Last edited by abhirajcb; 01-14-2020, 07:28 PM.

Actually you have covered everything itselfOriginally posted by dreamchaser View Postwell ehhh not necessarly but thats if you might need some financial help from them or else they should be proud that their son/daughter is geting his/her dream without any help from the folks part!!! well yeah mostly they want us to be secure first like invest in a flat or land and then go on the big toys! but my dad was sooooo proud of me that he was crying and hugging me when i bought home my dream R1 with my own money and he never misses an opportunity to brag about it with his circle!!! and when his friends say 'why couldnt he buy an innova or a scorpio" my dad would be like " that was his dream and he bought it with his own money and i am damn more proud of his about that fact than if he would have bought a scorpio or innova"!!!!!
cool dad eh!
. Sometimes finance are issues, sometimes your parents want you to invest on right things and sometimes they are cool like your parents. At my end, my parents thinks this is wasting your money to buy so expensive bikes. Even they would not allow me to buy an extra car without any reason. Wish they could think like passion is also big thing itself.
I spend more than 10,000 every month, just for my bodybuilding but never tell my parents that i spent so much on this. This looks wastage to them and they are unable to understand my passion behind this, even after i have explained them everything lots of time. But no worries, life is good that way too

Same here Bro and the main reason parents are reluctant to approve buying these big bike is becoz they know the risk involved in riding these high power bikes.Originally posted by j4zb4 View PostHave my own money... but I still do take a proper approval from my parents before I buy something for myself... Even if its a Rs. 10,000 watch... I don't "HAVE" to... But it is kinda how I was brought up... Not saying that you are wrong or anything... If I put my foot down and said I want and I am gettinng it my father would not object... He would just say "take a wise decision"... But I still do seek his approval...
Just that every household is different...

Obeying parents is not always financial help bro... I run my home... Almost handle both my family businesses... Have my own money... but I still do take a proper approval from my parents before I buy something for myself... Even if its a Rs. 10,000 watch... I don't "HAVE" to... Same situation like me. I had to even convince my parents to buy fazer that comes of 83k only. And yes, you are very right. Even if we have money we can't buy such big things without permission of our parents.

You made it very clear broOriginally posted by pp180 View PostIt's not as easy Bro as it seems.
Then during these years i keep telling them about every thing about my next bike so that they have some clear picture of what i was up to.

Then P-220 was launched and after begging for it , my parents allowed me to buy it ( at that time I already had a P180 which i still have ).

I was trying to persuade my parents for last 1-2 years that i am going to buy a big bike so that they can make up there mind .

Finally when my finances allowed me to spend 4-5 lac on a bike i requested again for a bike but was again declined,

But now i told my parents that i am goona buy a big bike and only after there permission the more they delay the more my budget will increase (as i am saving for only my big bike ) , I also told that zx-6r will be launched in next 6 months and after six months my preference will change , at that then i might spent 8 lac instead of 5 lac now and also moving for pulsar to such a powerful bike like zx-6r is not safe for me, so let me buy GT650R as it save my money and would also be safer for me.

I cannot buy a bike if my parents are not agreed for it , even if i am spending my money for bike i just can't disobey them.I can only request.

I hope I am able to make my effort in buying a bike a bit clear.

I started working around 4 years back and after 6 months requested my DAD to lend around 1 lacs incase i want to buy a big bike ( at that time of i was preparing for ninja 250r ) ,my dad aggreed at that time, Then Ninja was launched and looking at bike price and more so it’s performance figures my dad politely refused me to buy any bike .
