After all, Duke 125 is imported to Europe from India itself, as far as I think (?).
Bajaj itself is saying Pulsars numbers are very good, so I doubt there would be any serious upgrade (like the ones shown in bikeindia etc etc). Bajaj enjoys highest margin from Pulsars mainly due to high interchangeable parts. All new model means huge investment, that is not going to happen until sales numbers drop....I expect read discs and some superficial makeover...nothing else.

But, they admit that Bajaj did not confirm the same.

Again this is far from truth, no P250 in immediate future, it's just a speculative news.

What is concrete is 150cc Boxer (as D150 failed to get numbers), boxer will be positioned for mainly rural market, this is nth attempt of Bajaj to make inroads in rural India, I wish them good luck !

Fortunately, none of the past iterations of the Pulsar have been mere sticker jobs. Each release has refined the earlier one by a substantial margin.

While the superficial makeover part might be the realm of a few Dhak Dhak manufacturers, it would surprise me if Bajaj adopted this tactic.

My views...others may have their own. No offense meant.

That was so not fair... Below the belt

@Samarth I guess what you think about The baby dukes being the new Pulsars may be wishful thinking.. but the fact that the new Pulsars will be heavily inspired from it would not be far from the truth......

What else do you expect from a 40K bike, monoshock?

The bike does look neat and beefy, did u guys check the speedo, square one, the kawasaki 4S used to sport a similar one and even the silencer reminds me of the 4S kawasaki.

I dun think that is gonna happen as there is confirmed news that the brand KTM is gonna be launched... And that by march 2012 there are gonna be 3 KTM models... including a 1000 cc... Also a third Kawi is on the cards before June 2012...

i don't think that this will be "bharat bike" or "boxer 150", BAL gives a very good VFM in all its bikes, so it can't be this ugly.

I only believe what Mr. Bajaj has told in an Interview.. that Completely Re engineered Next Generation Pulsars will be launched by year end. In that interview Mr Bajaj had revealed that the next gen Pulsars will share a lot from the KTM 125/1200 Duke platform (that will be something to look forward to).

Going by how the 4Valve Pulsar 135LS engine loves to be revved, handles sweetly around the corners, and have not had any major issues since it launch.. it probably gives a small preview of how the next gen will perform.

Despite the best efforts of Honda/Hero Honda/Suzuki/TVS/Yamaha, the current Gen Pulsars are still selling like hot cakes in the 150 cc (+) category even after 10 years. Therefore it probably makes sense to still cotinue with the current generation and sell the Next Gen Pulsars alongside.

If it happens so, it will be "two" much

Buddy,we all know what happened with the first lot of 220 FIs,there were so many FI issues and also other issues, they rectified it in the second batch. secondly dtsi variant firstlot have autochoke problem, cdi unit problem(bajaj have replaced the cdi unit under warranty for the first lot),fairing problem and they sorted out all the problems with the next batch.

I have owned the Orginal Hero Honda CBZ (1999) and the Bajaj P220 DTS-Fi (2007) from the first batch.. You'll be surprised to know how more frustrated I was with the CBZ. I had to finally sell it off my CBZ at 1/3'rd the orignal price after 3 years of frustration.

Things improve with time and experience.. its called the learning curve. If one doesn't learn fast, then they are wiped out by competition.

Rather than forming a preset/fixed negative notion about the Pulsar, you should try to ride a Pulsar 135LS to see how much Bajaj bikes have evloved for the better.

^^ True.. many people comment without any knowledge of how the current Pulsar line-up is. It's really surprising to see people hold on to their decade old beliefs even today, simply refuse to acknowledge that times have changed.

Unlike HH, Bajaj was regular with upgrades for Pulsar, even when it's selling very well. Hope, this upgrade will once again set the benchmarks for competition in performance segment.

yeah.. Diwali will be a great time with all those new launches. I got this strange feeling with Duke 200.. Bajaj will look to discontinue P180 and bring back P200. Do you think that's possible? that way, they will avoid direct comparison with A180 and will once again have a whole segment for themselves.
