Let the details surface before getting into discussions aimed at learning from this rider's mistakes. On such powerful bikes even single vehicle incidents can result in fatalities vis a vis a tank slapper, a power slide gone wrong, panic braking gone wrong for a dog that surfaced and later vanished or even an engine seizure at high speed.

It is true that riding gear saves lives but usually no amount of riding gear can save you from a crash at such high speeds on public roads with their zero run-off areas, hard armco barriers, concrete lane dividers and mixed traffic. As a rider your prime duty is to stay in control of your vehicle at all times.
very true, it feels sad to hear such an incident.

in fact, i think all the companies that sell 600 CC or higher bikes should give buyer some safety instructions or may be some training-on how to ride a bike - which is so powerful.

Yes, I heard that Honda gives a special training to all those who buy the Fireblade and bigger bikes even the 600RR.I dont know about other companies.

Very true OF sir.Every Rider must know his/her limitation and remain within it.The limit varies with Time of day(day or night)condition of Traffic, and actual riding condition....with so many variables, Adrenaline rush should be the last in our mind.

Well guys its really sad news but hearing this news im sure that some parents wont allow their son to go for such bikes. But the fact here matters is for riding these bikes one must have the complete knowledge, handling, maintining of these bikes which i think he (Azhars son) lacked and as said he was riding without wearing proper gear and was too young to speed the bike.

So at such high speed nothing happened to bike? I mean just some fairing broke?

Why complaining the rider or the companies? Will any one give a 1000cc Superbike to his/her 19year old boy as a gift? That was a bad idea in my opinion :|

                    part 1.
Powerful bikes are to be ridden..yes with power, but then there are set lines one should not cross. stay within those lines you live and ride free. money is not everything but life is. parents who have seen big bikes only on TV and never ride them are only pulling wool over their eyes by not giving their kids some amount of training on riding a sup bike before gifting them one. it is like buying them a machine gun.

                    part 2

all the bike manufacturers should have some concern for Indian lives, which means they should have a brief training given to each a every power bike buyer. how casually a small bike the ninja 250 is sold to a kid who has less than one month of riding experience is simply a gen description, one down 5 up blah.. blah and congrats here is the key and bye bye. something more needs to be definitely done here.

Some thing like the Cal Superbike school needs to be opened in India permanently where they train you on riding a power bike on the street before you get one.

initiative can be from bike manufacturers or our Bikers home XBHP ( XBHP school of biking) hope to see something like this not very far.

There is no point in complaining about the ride, rider's age. Let it be a 1000CC SBK or a 100CC Splendor, let the rider be 18 or 40, If he is not aware of his and his bike's limitations and he don't ride safely and responsibly he will face situations like this.
I saw few people pointing out he was over speeding and he was wearing only a lid. You guys don't forget one thing that a large number of Xbhpians are still riding only with a helmet on and most of us ride at speeds more than 100KMPH on our pony sub 250 CC rides and still we are criticizing and speculating about this tragic accident.
This is a sad news. What we can do is pray for the boy, educate others about safe riding and be a safer rider ourselves.

                      Ride Safe.

May the deceased's soul rest in peace, and the injured one recover from the physical & mental trauma at the earliest.

                        Aside,
it pains me to see the replies posted on this thread.
I don't see why everyone should be so judgmental about 19 year olds riding superbikes, their parents approving it, them riding without riding gears, etc.
Age is not necessarily linked to maturity.
Their parents do have brains & have allowed them the bike for some reason (maybe pressure, but it is their call). It is their life, & lets leave it in their hands. Let them ride how they want. You can suggest, not impose.

There is already dearth of information on the reason for the crash. It could have happened due to no fault of the rider.
We have lost a few xBhp members forever (involved in road accidents on bikes), & I'm sure a majority of us don't believe they were at fault.
I'm sure the reaction of the members would have been completely different if the people involved in this accident were not related to any influential people, & were members on this forum.

However, I do agree with the call for stricter licensing for bikes above a certain displacement (based on the bikes available currently in the Indian market, I would say anything over 500cc).

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Guys, read what I have to say just once, then drop your comments.

Superbikes are exclusive machines which are supposed to be owned by passionate, responsible, experienced & learned bikers, and NOT rich kids. That's what Azharuddin failed to understand- he thought it was an average luxury bike, like a Mercedes Sedan.

I'm sad on this event, but like everyone in Xbhp is blaming someone, I too want to blame:

                              1. I blame government to create rules in favor of 800+cc bikes only, acting selfishly and not reviewing these rules,

                              2. I blame Suzuki to bring us "Racy" bikes, in a "Roadie" country, where 600cc street machine would've done more justice to our money and existence,

                              3. I blame such customers who never realize their potential's limits,

                              4. I blame Xbhp members for merely posting & blaming others, rather than understanding their role. One superbike owner from each big city can go to their showrooms and offer trainings to new owners, and play their part.

And lastly, I blame myself, because I waited for some XBHP staff to come to Ajmer to help me in an awareness event rather than doing it myself. Sorry for that, entire Ajmer city..

So people, stop blaming other people because in one way or other, we all are responsible for most things happening in our country...

Let's just make it a prayer thread for the quick recovery of the kid, like bikerharis did above:

                              "RIP Azhar's Nephew.

Ayaz, wish you a quick recovery and remember, you're not a good leader until you lose. We hope that you recover, listen to your heart, stand up and ride bikes again, just like I did after my accident.
Just that wear full gears this time, and don't forget the rules which are there for a reason. You break rules and then rules break you. God bless."

If a remember correctly another SBK accident happened not longer than a year ago in hyderabad. Some kid of a big politician lost his life while riding to the airport.
