Can someone tell me why high compression ration is a problem in/for India? is it availability of high octane fuel we are worried about??Originally posted by samschenker View PostConsidering the high compression ratio(12.6:1) the 125 Duke runs, there is a good chance that 200 Duke will be de-tuned for the indian market. I will be happy with something around 22-23 bhp

Even at 135-137 Kgs, the 200 Duke is lighter than the CBR250R by around 30 Kgs..!!!
With both the CBR250R and the 200 Duke making 25 bhp the power to weight ratio of the 200 Duke is explosive.
Would miss the ABS but the 200 Duke now will definitely be my next bike.

Yes, availability is one of the reason.Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostCan someone tell me why high compression ration is a problem in/for India? is it availability of high octane fuel we are worried about??
Even the stricter emission norms can be another reason I may be wrong with this one.

Buddy, that is a typo, if you see the KTM 125 home page, the description of features and other stuff is same as the KTM 200, the 280 mm disc is actually the KTM125's, they just forgot to update the KTM 200's description properly.Originally posted by SunnyBoi View PostI'll take those specs with a pinch of salt. From highlights and technical details page, notice the difference?
