Got this detail from a Duke 200 brochure which I found with the PBK Manager's possession. I actually went there to check with my N650R Booking status.

damn....you r saying that duke can produce only 18bhp.........i can't agree with that statement & its not gonna be a original brochure...
even the pulsar 200 produces 18bhp......so the duke is going to produce none less than 20.....
about the mileage figures....with speed below 75kmph...u could get 32-35kmpl even on ninja(not on my experience, from 4 ninja users experience)
so a single cylinder, 20bhp engine can deliver none less than 35kmpl & thats a good figure for 200+cc segment...am i right or not...?:confused

This was what mentioned on the Brochure,

        Performance: 13.2 kW (18 hp)

No RPM range was mentioned at which the 18 hp peaks.

[Excuse me if it was 13.7 kW, coz I did not pay much attention to the value in kW]

              Where is this info from?

EDIT:Okay, just now saw your post, indeed awesome, my speculations were far lower when compared to what the website reveals.

I even had a look at the KTM powerwear/powergear... total drool maal...

But they might be making different versions for different countries and i guess the indian version will be some 18kW and the indonesian version must be 19kW...

                    • ^^^ Can't see power/torque figures there?? not mentioned intentionally??

But, look at the weight 125kg.. wow just about P135LS.. would be one smashing ride in the traffic.

@Harish K, were you sure.. could have been 15.7 KW as well and, yeah..even P200 used to make 18bhp, so for sure Duke 200, with all it's sophistication would certainly make more than that. Just to compare R15 makes 17bhp, compared to R15.. Duke has 50cc advantage!! can't imagine all that translating to just one more bhp in the edn.

Can't stop imagining what this combo of 20odd bhp/ around 20 NM torque & 125kg dry weight can do to our riders

                        • Guys looks like I am not gonna sleep tonight, just cannot imagine how fun to ride this machine is gonna be.

So, I guess we can expect the India spec machine to make atleast 23 BHP. By the way the site says 19KW, which equals to 25.4749 BHP

@HarishK :- Can you re-check with the showroom guy the exact power figure for all XBHPIANS sake?

...What a combo!!..In addition to the massive power, seems like there are some accessories also available like Tankbag(Touring), solo seat etc..
If that all accessories are available in our PBK..then it would be great.. I expect Indian version should not be less than 22bhp IMO..

So, (given fuel weight = 0.7 kgs/litre) wet weight with fuel is around 132 kgs and oils can be very dense... so its still within 135 kgs wet anyways.

Has this machine just out-spec'ed CBR 250 in terms of power, power to weight, weight itself, tyres, brakes, front suspension, pricing maybe, console info maybe, ground clearance ....??
Damn, Where does CBR stand? CC, top speed, fuel capacity and torque, is that it?

Well, instead of concluding anything, I'll let it come first... But its really intimidating right now spec wise...
