Bro same happened to my silencer also .... I have a aftermarket silencer that i love a lot.
But the fact the clamp holding the silencer lost the threads.
Had to go for electric welding, so that it never comes out again.
Weld the clamps to the silencer. dont use any bolts.
And go for electric welding because its safer and harder.
I have heard a lot about this. So had this in mind, and welded the clamps to the silencer.______________________________________________________________

Good job Mr. Moderator ! Perfect balance of words I must say...Originally posted by antz.bin View PostWell, I always got frustrated whenever I tried to compare an RE to any other bike available in India. I just couldn't fathom HOW people can spend so much (Time and Money) on an RE when functionally equivalent/superior bikes can be had for far less money with far lower waiting period.
But getting to know the owners themselves, I understood that I just cannot compare an RE with a commuter 150 or a Karizma or a P220 because of the emotion involved. None of the mainstream Indian motorcycles (aka 'Plastic' bikes
)attract so much emotion as the RE range. The usual yardsticks we use when comparing 'Plastic' bikes like engine power / handling / ergonomics etc. cannot be applied on an RE simply because the 'Plastic' bikes feature nowhere on the 'Emotion' yardstick.
So, in order to restore peace, harmony and order in my mind, I concluded that an RE is not a bike. It is a lifestyle. What you pay for on the RE is a piece of History, emotion and experiences that you will never otherwise get to feel. Whether or not, I (Antz.Bin) am willing to pay for these is a different matter altogether, but it certainly helps me in not trying to compare it with similarly priced products. For Example, the bike in question (TB500) may be priced very close to a CBR250R ABS or a Tata Nano CX, but all 3 provide 3 very distinct experiences to their respective owners. An experience which is not inter-comparable and so by conjunction, neither are the products. The experience of owning an RE can be replicated ONLY by owning some other RE model so there is no use cribbing about whether you like it or not
.

Can you please throw some more light on the bold part? Would love to hear about that...Originally posted by Sunny View PostOn the TB500 review and other issues mentioned here......
Royal Enfield has only shown interest in promoting their own events and rides, and our 'different' proposals usually elicit cold response from them. We cannot help that.
If a product aims to be the 'best' in the industry, it has to go through such criticism in order to meet the user expectations. As it is ONLY we, 'the user/reader' who purchase that 'product', who can tell you why are we purchasing it and what do we expect from you.Originally posted by Sunny View PostLet it also be understood and appreciated that there is no other publication which will allow or respond direct criticism like this for their 'product'.
That's why we are still connceted to xBhp saar or else there are other information resources too...Originally posted by Sunny View PostHowever since at heart we are a community, I am replying as such.

I really found sunny's reply too much aggressive and may be arrogant one.
Sorry to say this, so dont feel like replying him.
@Rahul.Gvli:: dude its hard, but I dont think that its worth to waste your words behind him.
Loved your reply to him.
Just for example, Yamah to launch a different colored FZ finds a review with pics, and is also promoted in the facebook immediately within no time.
This was what i was saying before.
Anyway who cares.Last edited by surajit09; 11-07-2012, 05:58 PM.______________________________________________________________

Well, Just a thought, If a Company offers their bike for review what could the mods do? Reject their offer? There are multiple Auto Mags out there in the Market, they will just go there. What will happen to xbhp? Their "standing" decreases in the market and will come off as "arrogant". So if they are offered a Test drive and Review, they do it.
Now, another company does not offer or invite them to the launch what can the mods do? There are 2 options,
a. Do the review unofficially meaning get the bike themselves and then do a review.
b. Does not do a review at all.
xbhp has gone with the second one, probably until option "a" is available. If they don't wanna do it, well its up to them. If you really think they are being partial, well you have made your voice heard and the mods have heard it and replied back.
/End of Rant.
I am a RE Fan too. I have booked a RE350. I have been waiting for 8months (Booked old, "converted" to new one).

This is his business and not a charity that he does. If i would have been in his place, i would also have made money out of it.Originally posted by backsplash View PostIt is because of the man's sunny brains you and me can type our clouded poems here, give him some credit he deserves for creating this platform.
So i dont think that he has done any help or charity.
And for your information. There is a site called Team-bhp. I hope you have heard about it.
That site does review about each and every other car. Irrespective of the company. Any car, and you will get an official review.
Thats what i was talking about.
But why suddenly are you so much bothered about him
And my dear friend, there are hundreds of sites and forums. Not one.
And congrats mate.Originally posted by vinaymonu25 View Postmy flicker black TB350.......my journey begins.......
Please do start an ownership review. It will be really helpful for a lot of people here to decide on this.______________________________________________________________

guys...thanks all for the wishes...im new to the thread and im not a rider or tourer who can give u any details of the vehicle...and my daily running is also only 8kms...so i think im not an eligible person who can give any ownership review....one thing i can do is answer all ur questions here regarding this vehicle...u put up a ? i will answer for sure
let me give some details.....the new digital odo meter gives u time setting, kms, short trip kms, average speed u have been driving in that short trip, service icon starts blinking once u complete 500kms,battery icon starts blinking if ur battery has been going low....the new engine yes 350cc is not only the same 350cc engine from RE this one makes a different kind of sound from the older 350cc's the rear disk gave me the scraping sound after i crossed 10kms on odo....i just took it for a ride at 5am on empty roades to make sure what exactly it is...rode it for 30kms...results-during the incline & decline over flyovers the rear disk started making the scraping sound & after a while on straight road it stopped then again after a few km ride again even on straight road it started...today morning went to the service station he refused to check as he says he is busy with other vehicles & staff is less today bring in ur vehicle tomorrow....but when i started my vehicle from there went to a spare parts shop to put up diamond crash-guard it was all 20km ride n never i got that scraping sound again....dont know if i should go tomorrow or not-confused about it.
diamond crash guard doesnt fit on it...it gets licked to ur frontend of slippers or shoe...so changed it with airfly then again after putting it...the crash -guard spoiled the entire theme look of the vehicle instantly removed it....tried putting the diamond crash guard again with the adjustment this time being abit closer to front mud-guard for which the mechanic warned me to be ready to get a dent to the mud-guard when i go into potholes & speed brakers or put up sudden front disk-brake....i said im ready to take that risk and came out with the same diamond crash guard but with a better & riskier adjustment which doesnt come in between while changing gears or putting rear brakes....
thats my experience so far.....
now my question- shall i skip going for the disk-brake work tomorrow as it doesnt make sound now or should i ? will he do the work when the sound has vanished ?New Duke 390 my2017... finally

Buddy I'm no expert but I guess you should wait and watch a day or 2. If the sound persists, then definitely go and get it rectified. Regarding the crash guard, do the crash guards fit properly on the new TBTS? The mechanic at my dealership told me that since there is a slight change to the chassis design, therefore existing crash guards won't fit the new TBTS. And that RE would be coming out with new crash guards for the new TBTS.. Don't know whether this is true or not. But since you have already got the bike and have fitted the crash guard, so thought of asking you whether you have seen this point..Originally posted by vinaymonu25 View Postguys...thanks all for the wishes...im new to the thread and im not a rider or tourer who can give u any details of the vehicle...and my daily running is also only 8kms...so i think im not an eligible person who can give any ownership review....one thing i can do is answer all ur questions here regarding this vehicle...u put up a ? i will answer for sure
