Number of Hyosung Dealerships in India to be increased from 18(currently) to 40 by year endAdvice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

To give you a perspective, what happened to the resale value of the Honda Jazz cars that were sold couple of months before until the price cut due to localization. It's all for the good sir.

If we look closely at the pricing, 2.75 lac Ex Showroom is almost exactly the same as Ninja 250R, so it is NOT 20odd thousand cheaper than the Ninja. For the exact same price, you get 6 horses less, no Liquid cooling, No 6th gear, better equipment, bigger bike looks, sporty riding position, extra Disc up front, and fatter tires.
Do these pros and cons cancel themselves out is the question which the buyer will ask himself.
On the flip-side, if you keep the bike long enough, Localization will mean that spares costs will also reduce rapidly and your Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) will reduce drastically. If you consider a Ninja, Spares costs are quite high at the moment due to this very reason.Originally posted by dreamseller View PostTo give you a perspective, what happened to the resale value of the Honda Jazz cars that were sold couple of months before until the price cut due to localization. And since you are not selling it, the resale doesn't affect you anyways.
I am afraid but they aren't talking about the Top Speed of the bike at the Launch Function. But generally speaking, it will be more or less similar to CBR250R, give or take 5 kmph. Both will be slower than Ninja 250R w.r.t. top-end.Originally posted by Majesty View PostWhat about the Top Speed of GT250R Antz.bin ?
Is it more than CBR250R?
I hope it should be.

Exactly , the only potential customers it might attract is the ignorant types, who do no research and just buy because they have the money.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostLocalization isnt a big evil like you guys make it. Pricol makes a lot of parts for Ninja, that is exported out of India QCd and then imported back to India. Result = A markup on the original price!
This is absurd pricing, IMO over shot by a good 30000rs. Though I would not be surprised if this still outsells the Ninja250 in the due course of time.
The 'informed' segment is a tiny one. Out of this tiny segment, there are people who want the "Sporty" ergonomics. This is way sporty than the CBR or the Ninja. Some tiny market there
Out of the Not so informed segment (which mind you is HUGE!)
This has the looks, sounds well too, and can be easliy mistaken for a BIG bike. So pappus pappa can now save a massive 10Lakh rupees and gift him a GT instead of a Gixxer. Some market here too!
But still the numbers will be ow , because of the pricing..!!
Some might just like it for the dual disks.>!! and how sad that it in itself is said to have insuffeciant breaking power.!
Cheers

2.Five gears.(Even Indian 125cc bikes has 5 gears

3.oil cooled.
4.And now Bad price
If someone knows more please add to this list
I also don't find it as attractive as the Ninja250R which looks way better than this.
Its only bigger but surely not the best looker.
:) :D

Well in that case, apparently, you are not the kind of person that the folks at DSK Hyosung hoped to rope in as their customerOriginally posted by ajaykatke2005 View PostI can see only CONS in the bike like

this bike is going to be a big flop for sure...
with 2.2L..everyone can buy a CBR250R with ABS and with some after market performance mods..CBR can surely outrun the undergeared GT250R..
less money & more techonology..
this bikes's both rivals(CBR & Ninja) have one of the best after sales service outlets all over India unlike Hyosung..
a person who's planning to buy this bike will find a huge number of cons & a few number of pros

I was expecting it to be between 1.5 to 2 lakhs on road.. Am I that clueless or is it Hyosung?
No you guys. Though some points which you guys have made are true to life, but then the bike isn't that bad at all. Yes it has vibes, yes, it's Korean, yes it's priced high. But on the high side, there are a lot of youngsters with enough moolah waiting to lay their hands on this quarter little machine.Originally posted by metalman666 View PostHigh time that Hyosung understands, not everything and everyone can be a BMW with high price. There should be some freaking justification for this.
I was hoping it to be below 1.75 range. Now, hopes gone with the wind.
Big looks, sexy color, superb fairing, all this adds to the oomph factor of the bike. Though it's priced a little on the high side, as antz said, localization is the key to reducing the ownership aftermath expenses. Ninja's parts are all sourced overseas and that's the price we pay for.
The reason DSK is planning to increase the outlets if you examine carefully is not only for sales, but also mass centralization, the more the outlets, the more the sales, more sales equals potential localization which in many ways can benefit the seller and the buyer.
All that being said, let's see what this has to offer and how the sales ticks up the boxes.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

i think GT250R has got a slightly better top-end than CBR250, according to various online reviews.Originally posted by antz.bin View PostI am afraid but they aren't talking about the Top Speed of the bike at the Launch Function. based on online reviews, GT250R has got a top-end of 165 kmph whereas most CBR250 find it difficult to reach 160 consistently as per online reviews (CBR owners can clarify better, may be our dear friend aargee can help)

At this price... guys with enough moolah...would get a little more... and get the Ninja, which is anytime a better value for money than this ... even without that perpetual need for localizationOriginally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostNo you guys.
