DSK Motors and Hyosung

DSK Motors and Hyosung are planning to assemble the next batch of GT250Rs in India itself in the coming eighteen months which would bring the cost of the bike down to around Rs 1.5 lakh. The company will leave no stones unturned to make the 250 a success and will also offer tempting finance schemes to woo buyers. A naked version of the bike, called the GT250, will be launched soon thereafter. The competition is becoming fiercer in this segment and we hope other manufacturers also join the fray.sigpic

if this is true, its good, but what is the source ??Originally posted by vinbex View Post0-100 in 8.2 seconds for the gt250r
ninja does it in 7.83 and cbr in 8.97
the gt slots right in between them..not too bad!
because, overdrive comparison report says otherwise. even i doubt that figure of 10.21 secs.
can you direct us to any link which give correct comparison figures.

The Hindu news paper says that the "superbike" will be localised within 18months and the prices will drop to 1.5lacs !! The bike looks hot in the picture !
if it does drop to 1.5 then the CBR seems grossly overpriced lol

if they have promised price drop with localisation, lets wait and see what happens. all those who are not interested in buying this bike at this price, hyosung reduced price of gt650n by 60k even without localisation. will you buy this bike at 1.6 lacs? if yes then maybe waiting 18 months will be wise. it has more chances of materialising than R25. though I will wait for R25.

But @1.6L the bike will instantly turn form "hugely Over-Priced" to "very Desirable"; and rightly so.
Anyways am waiting for an ownership review on the bike, and my main concern is the Engine-Heat issue, and how much is it comfortable for the rider(with the engine-heat)sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.
Only thing I can say - "The storm is coming"
