I agree with your point buddy. But a grab rail design which suits the new aesthetics of the bike could have shut the mouth of someone who find something negative on the bike.

I ride the bike for my pleasure. Not for the sake of anyone else. And if my spouse really wants to be seated as the pillion, then she'll be more than glad and even more comfortable to grab me with her hands.

agreed.but more concerning is the indicators.on the looks part that is.they could have made a mirror integrated one since the bike is a premium offering.2.78 lacs in Indonesia for non abs.

Yes the console has maximum data, i think they have queued up with its big brother the 650R for head console details. Good move by Kawasaki.

This is a splendid evolution from the current N250!

And grab rails? What are those ? Whoever is missing them, there plenty of bikes to buy which have them.

@Aargee: Pillions do manage very well on sport / sport tourer bikes without grabrails too. The idea is proper education.

                    The following article should help:

                    Motorcycle Riding - Pillion Advice - hartside.com

Read it down all the way to the very last line.

                    Coming back to topic:

I doubt the power output would increase since it is optimized for the European Learner limitations.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Dammmmmmnnnnn!!! Fantabulosss!!! Awesummm!! I cant find more words. Kawasaki hit the nail right in the head. Styling 12/10.In your face R15.

Just hope Bajaj prices it sensibly. BTW i dont understand the comparison with CBR on price front. If one wants the Ninja one goes for it.Period.Its a TWIN for God sakes!

P.S. Bajaj Please please please get the special edition color schemes. Its hightime!

Loved a lot of things bout the bike -
                        1. The slightly restyled rear looks nice
                        2. The exhaust looks a lot better now.
                        3. The alloys look so much better than the plain jane old ones
                        4. The fact that the copany claims that there'll be more torque in the low and mid rpms bringing it on par with the CBR and i hope the top remains the same.
                        5. I for one love the new instrument console and can't find anything to dislike with it.
                        6. The paint schemes are so much more contemporary than the outgoing model

I don't particularly like the way the front end has been styled with design cues from the Zx 10R, to me it looks like a squatting frog. But I guess this'll look a whole lot better than the pictures
                        respect ma authoritae!!

It's bloody good enough with the same power. And now when it looks like this, it's even better. Everything else is starting to look a little outdated

Thanks for the quick response to you know what

If the bike really has been optimized for Lower End Torque and Mid-Range now, then definitely the torque in the upper reaches would negatively affected...*unless* they have bumped up the power/torque numbers!

EDIT: The launch date for this Fall 2013, that means this wont be coming to our shores almost until end 2013/ early 2015 yikes!

What an answer to CBR! I love this game between the Japanese. This Ninja has the praying mantis insectoid styling. They have also changed the awkward proportions of the previous model and given proper ZX10R kind of proporttions.

If this Ninja has arm ripping acceleration like the bigger ones, then I am going for it. Will have this one as my regular runabout.

Now only Bajaj should not mess up anything with the launch and price.

Wow! This is an EPIC update!

I was just in the middle of finally buying one.

                                This changes everything.

Come 2013, (or launchday) i'm getting one!
