  • Wow. I had a dream about ZX2R 2 days back. Anyway, looks awesome. The baby has become almost perfect.
The drawbacks in the old baby Ninjer like the antique speedo, not so good headlights and the overall looks have been totally refreshed. All the colours look gorgeous. I'd have been one of the first ones to book him if I wasn't a student. Hope Kawi localise the parts.

P.S Go through this for some close ups.

Sorry if my previous link was difficult to open.

But here's the first ride impression from TMCBlog! Should be a reliable indicator of the new Ninjette's performance improvements (if any)

              As usual, link in Indonesian

First Ride Impression 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250 FI TMCBlog – Motorcycle News

According to current reports, the top speed is around 161kmph (on speedo and no significant improvement in performance), although the throttle response is better (due to the fuel injection system).

Riding ergonomy is similar to the old Ninja 250R.

no doubt performance wise aoth are very different, but i personally felt that the current version is quite unique frm mst of the bikes.
Don't get me wrong, but many sports bikes with dual front headlamps and sharp, sporty tails will "look like" the r15v2

It's a common design language. Please don't mistake it as an "inspiration"!

This however, will attract many enthusiasts who would've settled for the CBR because ninja wasn't worth paying twice as much. I think its worth every penny (assuming it will be priced in the same bracket, around 3.2lacs)
dated looks and analog meters were a put off, but believe me, nobody went to CBR instead of Ninja just for looks and digital meter. target customers of ninja are those, who want performance and have the money too.

and no such prospective customer went to CBR.

couldn't understand ur comment that ppl who go by CC will go for CBR.

                  both are 250 cc.... right.

and no bike commands a premium just for digital meter and looks, it does so for performance and that is why ninja was at a premium compared to cbr.

@samarth bro...twister inspired grab rails ??? c'mon man, i think you meant look alike. it can not be inspired by twister.

Exactly, now there is are a lot of us who'd want the performance and will stretch our budget limits to achieve it. Now the current ninja is better than CBR in almost every department, but is it really worth paying twice?
and no such prospective customer went to CBR.
Such customers as mentioned above did go to CBR, because its a great VFM bike.
couldn't understand ur comment that ppl who go by CC will go for CBR.
                    both are 250 cc.... right.
Exactly my point again, both are 250cc, the majority of people dont understand why one costs 1.5 and the other 3lacs. Jab wahi 250 cc kam daamo me mile to koi ye kyu le?? wo na le?
and no bike commands a premium just for digital meter and looks, it does so for performance and that is why ninja was at a premium compared to cbr.
Well, i think it does. And going by the poll at the top, a lot of people agree.
Anyways, its not just a digital meter and sticker job, but a lot more. What i mean is that, these additions/improvements will help people shell out the premium over the CBR more easily now.

Man, I surely remember the dialogue, but cant recall the whole Advertisement.
And as u said, the maximum no of people in India compares the CC to measure the bike's power and performance. They dosent give a damn(actually have no idea) to bhp, torque, etc etc are.

I know it OT here, but to give a simple idea, i still have heard many people going for P220 over 200NS, just because it costs less, while having 20cc more

Coming back to NINJA, if they price it at the same level as of current one, its VFM quotient will increase a lot.
But whatever the price is, I will surely be gunning for it

it says that it could have done better on a longer stretch of tarmac.

                              I GUESS this has a rev-limiter.

OT: White, Black or Grey - orgasmic.
The classic lime looks a lil odd cuz of the black paneling between the head cowl and side panels.
The fins sure look like the ones on V2.
The headlight looks either orgasmic from certain angles or totally an eyesore from the others. I maybe wrong but the headlights look small vis-a-vis the whole masculine body.

                              • When will it arrive in India?

First of all I'm glad I listened to my heart which kept saying to wait for the 2013 model it'll be different . I've already saved about 1/3rd of the current model's OTR price

                                Now for the question:
As far as I know the Ninja 250R being sold in India is brought as a CKD by Bajaj from Indonesia, assembled and sold here at 3+ Lakhs.
If the 2013 models will be able in Indonesia by this August end (for non ABS) and October (for ABS) why can't we Indians expect this bike latest by the 1st quarter of 2013???
Sources like Zigwheels claims that this model would be available by 2014. Any particular reason for this? Or am I to believe that the August and October mentioned above are Aug and Oct 2013???
