So this leaves Yamaha and Suzuki and TVS with plenty of time to come up with something which has 250 CC.And Honda has time to update its CBR 250 too.
I heard Duke will come up with 350 in the coming one or one and a half years.
So this means when this thing will be actually available, we'l be in the market, full of surprises.
    Sounds tempting !

If the bike really has been optimized for Lower End Torque and Mid-Range now, then definitely the torque in the upper reaches would negatively affected...*unless* they have bumped up the power/torque numbers!

Kwacker N250R needs no introduction to the world.. It has a long and rich history and currently in India being backed up by a very good after sales support team from Bajaj.

The new N250R's features are indeed impressive.. I hope that the current electronic speedo odo console is also compatible with the older model.. I am sure a lot of current owners would love to have that on their rides..

I just hope that by the time the '13 model is launched, the octroi duties get further reduced by the Govt. As current onroad 3.45+ lakhs in Mumbai is a major pinch to the wallet and with ABS and new features the price is only going to shoot upwards.. Or else hope that Kawi does localisation of lots of parts including fibre panels which should result in drastic drop of spare prices as well.. Local vendors do provide good quality parts if one looks at Yamaha vendors.. Parts of R15 fibre panels are well finished..

Hopes and wish list will never end from my side.. So enough with my blabbering welcome new technology

                Cheers,

You stole my words. Looks like a worthy upgrade. Now I do not mind paying a premium for this bike.

the bike looks good really good. there is a reason to price it higher and retain the existing model. that's 3 models of ninja 250 at 3.00 lakhs 3.50 lakhs and 4.00 lakhs.

but if we are lucky the bike may retail at the same price and current model may be scrapped.

it quite and exciting time for the ninja 250

Buddy, not everybody will be able to maintain 2 bikes - one for daily chores and the other for weekend fun. A 250cc is meant to serve botht the purpose. Can be a commuter as well as satissfy your adrenaline rush in the weekend. The bike looks great, as per the Kawasaki reputation I am sure its gonaa make the best more better. but then N650 has grab rails which integrates with the body so why not N250?

Its just my thought. No offence to anyone.

                          From the official Japanese website:

Non ABS version: 172 Kgs Kerbweight
ABS Version: 174 Kgs Kerb Weight

P.S: It beats me how the non ABS and ABS version of the 2012 Apache RTR 180 can weigh exactly same at 139 Kgs..!!

Mate, that's why I told there are other options out there. For instance, take the CBR 250R. It's a 250cc bike, has grab rails, can be used as a commuter, and as well as to satisfy one's adrenaline rush during the weekends. Why should every 250cc necessarily serve both the purpose? Every manufacturer has their own kind of design and styling, and that's what makes them different. As for the grab rails in N650, it's more of a tourer than a sports bike, whereas, the N250 is a sports one.

Well for those who like to see the negative in everything , The 2013 ninja 250r does have a grab rail functionality just that it is not such an eyesore as found in certain newly launched bikes. I would say it is close enough .
People who are actually happy at seeing this bike rejoice even more.
