Got a call from KTM delhi today in the afternoon. Price of Ninja 300 (yes, not 250) as they said is 4.2L (approx) would be 4.3L but no more. They called me up as I inquired about exchanging my Ninja for the KTM 390. That's when they offered the Ninja 300 and said you can get it by June for sure. But I refused saying that's too much for what it is.

Nope. Austria. The KTM 390, a single cylinder 390 cc engine that is mad enough and looks exactly like the duke 200 would then be a boring proposition if it goes 2+ (Considering its made in India and is essentially the duke 200 with little changes)Originally posted by nagoo View PostSir Ji... From where this Austria came in to picture ?? shouldn't it be Japanese ... barring the KTM
I think price could be right , if u didn't knew the current Ninja has price tag of around 3.5+L OTR in BLR and surely it will surpass 4.3L OTR .
seems like my decision to go for GTR was well timed
If the Ninja goes in 4L territory, they can price the D390 from 1.4 to 4.someting. Do a lame arse average and suddenly the Duke390 JUST got pricey for a lot of WRONG reasons!

Looks like Probiking Pune themselves confused on this, yesterday on the Phone call they said booking opened, today I personally visited and they are saying booking not opened yet. They have no idea on pricing, models and colors and deliveries. "Probable launch will be in April end and then bookings will start" their representative added...Originally posted by imrandkhan View PostPre-launch bookings started for N300 in Pune Probking...

If this is the price it makes sense to go for GTR-650N then .
IMHO 650cc V-Twin Naked from Hyosung > 250cc parallel faired from Kawa
I guess they are pushing it a bit too much on the name of Brand. Heck you would get 2 ABS CBRs for a Ninja 300. I don't think Bajaj would do this .

Coming to the cost, I do not think it will be 4.3L as the website says, but should come up to 4L mark.
So Duke 390 would cost around 2.25L < N300 would cost around 4L < GT650N costs 4.5L < N650 / GT650R costs 5.5L
Many who had their eyes set on N300 would be dissappointed to say the least if the price crosses 4L.

These are the times i wish Honda/Suzuki/Yamaha could bring back their legendary inline-4 quarter liter bikes. I have spent countless evenings listening to CBR250RR (that's 2 R's, not even remotely related to the desi CBR250R) being revved hard. That is the sort of bike that people would be willing to dump 4L on, not this abomination. I appreciate the slipper clutch, but it's utility is nowhere near that of ABS. No ABS option, really?Last edited by dishayu; 03-12-2013, 04:36 PM.

now guys who were waiting for N250R/N300R will wait for D390 or those who wants faired one will wait for KTM250 faired one..whic will be similar to N250R in power output but is expected to cost much lower than this upcoming Ninja

So thats just 1 lac less than the Hyosung GT650R and 2 lac less than Ninja 650. Difference should be even lower when compared with GT650N. Why again are they trying to kill ALL sales??Originally posted by 111diablo111 View PostKawasaki Ninja 300R
