Joel.r, In Mumbai, I'll be paying Rs 2.06 L on-road. The insurance is zero-dep, else it would have been around Rs 2.04L according to what I hear from other showrooms.
Thats what rain does to a 3 day old bike!

Had gone to KTM Marathalli today. The exec there said the bike has gone for service after 150+ ripped it during the weekend. Also seems there was an accident. Test rides will resume after 3 days at the Indiranagar showroom.
They're quoting an 'up to 90 days' owing to the strike.

test drove the D390 at bund garden ktm pune today.Feels upright cum sporty.sports a RORTY exhaust, enough to shame even apache(no offence, tvs, just comparison sake)
Motor is extremely rev happy and loves to sprint from the word go.The 35nm torque arrives SO powerful and urgent it kinda reminds me of some dirt bike!handling is very neutral,
neither urgent nor slow.brakes are very strong, specially the rear one.All in all a fun fun bike which acts like a 2 stroker even.Needs a careful and experienced rider though imho.

it that case, Bagga Link & Dewan Bajaj (Delhi) is Great....
They Both have 3 KTM Showrooms in Delhi, and each showroom has its own test Duke 390.

What's the estimated life time of the Metzelers?
Can the MRF's from the 200 be used since they are comparatively cheaper?
Any other expensive parts that might need replacement on a timely basis?
Can the bike be used for everyday office commuting in heavy traffic?
Engine knocking -- I too felt the same. There was a speed breaker which I took in 2nd gear, less than 4K rpm and I too felt some engine knocking as I released the clutch to pull away. I thought my clutch release was not proper back then!
Metzelers -- The guy at the showroom told they're twice as durable as compared to the MRFs on D200. It could be replaceable with MRFs since the tyre sizes are the same or approximately the same. During wet weather and with twice the HP, Metzelers should be any day better than the MRFs...
City use -- I'm planning to use the 390 for both city use and weekend long rides.

went to the showroom today in Jaipur.. still no test ride here and a waiting period of 90 days was quoted..
sat to the D390 (first time sitting on any Duke), felt good
will get mine in the near future. inshallah
and lucky are those who will get if way sooner than me..

Called up Pune Bundgarden KTM. 5 bikes have been delivered so far. Need to wait till 1st or 2nd week of August to get some idea about delivery date. Need to be patient and wait!!

I thought i did the smart thing by booking the bike but havent taken a test ride yet coz i want to experience the rush on my own bike. Imagine my plight. Its even more agonizing than your wait i guess. Hope that makes you all feel a little bit better.

    Awaiting Elixir.

Ok, called KTM South Mumbai just now. They did not provide me with any details on when I'm likely to get my bike. For the record, I'm the second person to book the bike from KTM South Mumbai on the day of the launch, but they can't give me a status? What the heck?

All who are asking for KTM reviews: Not sure what more can be offered after the numerous of them already floating around. Anyways here are few links to help people caught in serious reviewlessness

Personally, I can say the hunger for ownership has only grown after the test ride and the wait is killing. The adrenaline rush goes on to effect the short term memory to a state where the engine heat has the same effect as that on a July afternoon in Delhi and standing in front of refrigerator with the its door wide open :-)
