    same here, however the quality issues and complaints of fellow riders is pushing me away from KTM

      The initial few batches of every new bike has issues. Now with time, the issues are becoming less common.

        I really doubt if it can do 170 even on the gauge, agreed it has fairing but the engine is the same and it now has more weight and probably peaks out at 14k rpm (?)
        Hopefully with slightly higher cost they are going for quality components.

              ^^ yes, test vehicle but it was not covered from head to toe like usual, headlights and parts of main fairing were without cover.

                So, were you able to see the indicators? Seems like the Indian version is not getting integrated indicators.

                  not able to see in that detail, as it crossed me in opposite lane, all i could see was that it didn't had DRL's. meaning those DRls were switched off.

                    According to latest Performance Bike Magazine, the RC 390 will be launched in UK in September. The article gives their first impression of the bike. I quote "it might be the first credible sports-bike stepping stone since Kawasaki stopped selling the ZXR 400 in 2003". That's high praise indeed!

                      Whoa that IS high praise indeed. The bike will be launched in India first no? Waiting till after September, I will probably go mad..

                      Yeah the engine is same but all those articles on the net have been speculating near 180 top speed. You know how hope is a b***h, right?

                            People are speculating that the R25 can do speed over 180kmph with 250cc, 35 bhp and 165kgs. So why can't the RC 390 do 170kmph atleast with 375cc, 43 bhp and 150 kgs. Does it have anything to do with the number of cylinders?

                              i just read it somewhere the r25 true top is around 165 with speedo showing around 178, and the 390 speedo is known to be more accurate where a speedo indicated 178 showed an actual 173. so i am safely assuming a true top whack of 180. lets see.
