This is how rumors start spreading. And before you know people start expecting stars and moon, and before they realise the bubble is burst.

Did anyone notice another test bike in the background? Looks like there are 2 bikes to be launched by Hero.

They are gonna bring in 2 different variants

if you check the 2 bikes standing there.. one has rear disc brakes and the other doesnt... also note the handlebars one is more sporty and the other one is more relaxed.. in the sense one has a smaller 2 piece like in CBR and the other has a bigger one like in ZMR

Not only that, in the pic u quoted, the bike with rear disc has P220 rear tire. Not sure if its a 130 (not likely), but its at least 120 profile. Also, from the angle this pic is taken the other bike (without reear disc) seems to have a monoshock! ????

I see the red suspension on it.. I am guessing they are gonna launch a fresh Karizma with bigger engine.. new karizma series silencer of the one with rear drum brake is of Karizma and the one with rear disc brake is ZMR Correct me if I am wrong.. hope the bikes have enough power.. and my guess is that the new bikes will have a carb version and a FI version just like the Karizma-R and ZMR

Yeah. You bet. Don't expect anything more than some snazzy "Sports xxxxx" stickering, a nip and tuck here and there, traditionally Hero skinny-winny commuter oriented fuel economy type tyres, and some poor old wngine in a new colour maybe.
These guys are going nowhere unless they bring up a bike with a new interesting heart. Then, even if its a Karizma or CBZ, it will be worth the namesakes.
I for one would love to have a smart looking bike with a 250/300/350cc preferably at least twin-cylinder about 45bhp mill, race inspired chassis, 130 rear tyre, 100 front, nice comfy yet sporty seat with seating posture a mix of tourer and sporty, integrated headlamps with separate high beam module and projector with xenon lamp for low beam.
                          Am I getting too dreamy??

You bet! 2 cyl would mean the bike would cost no less than 2.5L OTR. Also, why would HMC target the 45 hp figure when there is not enough competition there? It has to target Honda first. Hence a 250cc with 27-28 hp single cyl would suffice. Then, next year they can bring their 40 hp machine.

My speculations (if its a 250cc)
250cc - 27.5 hp @8k RPM, maybe ~24 Nm torque @ 7k RPM, 100 mm front tire, 120 mm rear tire, 155 kg kerb weight (I see some redesign of plastic), 55w halogen HL.
                              Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

What if these are upgrade (Exterior wise) of Karizma and ZMR...with same engine as of now...

and later on in 2014 new bikes....

BTW..the second bike without a rear have a different and new pattern on rear tyre...
