but my blind love to the 150R ever since I tasted the first blood makes me forget that pricing part , may be it uses a different technology which is over that of R15, that's the reason it's priced heavily, again let's not distract to something else OT. . .

Yup there are slight complaints saying vibs here and there in the NS, of course which bike is perfect. . ? Let's just hope it's minimised if not fully absent. . .

Yeah it uses different engine setup but still its not good value for money.
Even I like cbr150 for its comfortable sitting posture, its sound and unique design.

Yup and also they say the speedo too vibrates somewhat, but when I rode my friend's NS, I didn't paid much heed as I was more revving it up rather than riding it normally. . .

      Cheers!!!

Bajaj can go either way here. They can introduce a Non-ABS model with FI or one with ABS and their current triple spark tech which is claimed to be very efficient. If they choose the second option the bike will really stand out because IIRC, no other bike in that segment comes with ABS as standard equipment; not even the overpriced CBR 150. The first option seems to be safer though.
The price will definitely be over 1.1 lakh if they decide to go for ABS + FI.

I am 1000% sure bajaj will give abs as an option.
Its not a disk brake which will cost around 2-3000rs/-, cost of abs will create a substantial difference and it will hurt its VFM factor also....

Mechanical abs costs around 2k but they are not at all abs, do you know what will electronic abs will cost, and it will be easily put up in ns. ..?

A decent bike ABS system would cost around 10K I guess. So without FI, they can sell a variant with ABS for around 1.1 lakh. I'm saying this because I doubt if Bajaj would replace their 'revolutionary' triple spark technology so quickly with an FI system (assuming that they wont try to use three spark plugs with FI ). But like you said they're more likely to offer ABS as an option. And it's more practical to offer ABS as an option than offering 'optional' FI .

I see lots of discussion on FI, I don't think 200SS will have FI even as an option. Think about it, why would Bajaj invest in what is already a very good machine. Bajaj is good at parts sharing between their models and 200SS is essentially 200NS with fairing. So, I see no reason for the presence of FI on 200SS, but ABS might be offered as an option. So, we can expect about 15k premium over the naked model if ABS is standard, otherwise it could be as low as 8k over 200NS.

I also think the same regarding the idea of FI. The only major reason I can think of for using FI is the fact that all the other bikes in the segment has it. But an ABS and the price factor can more than make up for the absence of FI, IMO.

But I think Bajaj will charge at least 10K extra for the SS because otherwise the NS sales figures would come down considerably. Bajaj is targeting bikes like the R15, ZMR, CBR 150 etc with the SS. So they're likely to include features and technologies that can match the ones in those bikes.

In any case FI doesn't make it, coz FI means, Bajaj need not use triple spark, that means changes to upper part of the engine, which I don't think Bajaj will change. But ABS is definitely possible, which will more than make up for absence of FI. If I'm right R15 & CBR150 comes around 1.3 lakhs OTR in Bangalore, so 200SS will have significant price advantage over these bikes and being a fresh design into the market, it will have added advantage over R15 & CBR150. I don't think ZMR is competition, Bajaj can very well price it at a premium to ZMR and it would still be a compelling buy over ZMR.

Valid points, indeed I don't smell the need for any fi from the present 200SS, may be for the 375, a fi might be needed, as explained already above, it's just that they will complicate things if they use a fi, also presently there's no complaint raised regarding NS's carb, so why change something when it's actually working fine. . ? This will also help them cut the cost and give their as usual VFM products to the consumers. . . An ABS might/might not be a standard fit, hope it is like others an option, so people can choose between the two. . . Seriously they need to put an end for those sucking tires of TVS and instead use better ones, at least a good medium compound MRF would do. . .

It doesn't make a difference of what it runs on unless it gives a good feel. . . Same like that, it doesn't matter if it's a carb of fi whichever the above said bikes run on but at the end of the day it's what performance matters. . . So we can expect ABS but including a fi will be a dream. . . Rest points mentioned above. . .

                        Cheers!!!

What if Bajaj plans to release a top variant with FI and ABS? If that's the case, ABS will be the optional feature in the base variant, making FI standard across variants. None of the spotted test bikes have the underbelly exhaust. Is the new setup there just to improve appearance or does it indicate the adaptation of some new technology? Time will tell.

This just popped in at 'Bajaj Pulsar' page. Introducing new colors to boost sales or are they trying out some features we've been discussing here for the 200SS
