Bajaj Auto's independent labour union, the Vishwa Kalyan Kamgar Sanghatana (VKKS), has threatened to strike at the main Chakan plant of the two wheel manufacturer, starting on the 28th of April 2014. The VKKS claims that the company is not using its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for the workers. On Monday, the workers served a notice to the management of the company, that they would stop work on the 28th. There are around 2000 workers in the Chakan plant, with the KTM, Kawasaki motorcycles manufactured and assembled here.
