Post some more if you have!

Edit: Are we looking at a speedo indicated top of 165-170kmph here?

154km/H in 6th gear at 11k rpm. Looks promising.

At the end of the day, a bike is only as good as it makes the rider feel. Throw that spec sheet, power, torque figures out the window, forget what anyone else has said about the bike, take a test ride (once its launched that is ), feel the engine humming, the stability in corners, that sheer acceleration produced by that hard working engine and if you have a wild smile and a fast paced heart at the end, you should consider it, else it is not the one for you

PS : If you have a soft copy of spec sheet on your laptop/phone, dont throw it out the window and blame me for it

I don't think it has been released, its just been launched and it usually takes a few months after the launch. I hope i am correct.

With a 14k red line, it will be a high revving engine. See the power figures are way up in the rev range. So whenever we get the bike, be sure to rev it hard

It isn't about what they think; it's a fact! Do you know the booking figures within the first 48 hours of its launch in Indonesia?

It nothing to do with India, these kinds of talks prevails when there is not a proper knowledge about the products. (Its like comparing a Smart TV with the 3D Tv, without knowing that both of them are of different characteristics).

Comparisons will be there. But these will only be helpful when we actually know how the two bikes ride.
People have been comparing Ninja 250/300 and CBR250 for long (actually there shouldn't be any comparison b/w the two) as this is India and here anything can happen. Let the bikes be launched and then we can compare. For now, let's keep our views on what we should expect.

Whoaa !! Lots of fighting over here huh? And that too for a bike which Yamaha has not yet announced for India. This is what happens when Yamaha launches/about to launch a product. Even other manufacturers will be launching their products in the same CC range of 250-400 but no such hype. Why? Because this is Yamaha, brothers. And there is a legacy in Yamaha.

Not even Ron Syl, but I also believe that the bike will be launched in twin and not single. It will make no sense for a single-pot. Yamaha is not going to develop another new engine which requires totally different schematics and engine design. Also Yamaha may have to rethink over the chassis and almost all aspects as all Yamaha products are well thought of, well researched and well tested. So designing a single-pot 250cc bike will require more time and cost which I don't think Yamaha will do and that's not logical also.

And people I request you all, please don't compare with other bikes just for the sake of argument. If you really think/know where more improvements can be made, it would be great for prospective R25 buyers, who can be ready what to expect or how to fix if they face problems in those areas. Till then, Yes !!! Yamaha !!

Nice suggestion, but i dont think we can do that in xbhp. let me talk to the mods.

FYI i didnt creat the thread. My post in the previous R25 thread was taken and made into to new thread. and i was unaware of it till about few posts was posted here.

Age does not guarantee someone being a fanboy or not. just like it does not guarantee maturity.

I will kiss R25's A** rather than other bike. are you happy with that?

I see that you took my posts as "targeting you". it was a general post to all. since you took it as it was for you then i will say you are found guilty of something. because no one else retaliated like you did and hence my post makes sense. Not boasting about myself but if you go back and read all posts i was the one who gave most accurate info till now and commented to the point and discussion, multiple times also, when few others just kept posting about the same speculation.
Since I was the one who compared it to the RC in the last page and I frequently post in the RC thread, I thought it was directed at me. I am not guilty of anything LOL.
Please ignore that post of mine if your post wasn't directed at me

I hope you can read this before it's deleted

I really laugh at the heights to which some fanboys go when someone even thinks of a small negative point of a vehicle made by their favourite brand. Last time I remember doing that was when I was younger than 10 and riding bicycles. I don't know about the fanboy sites, but xBhp's bike related discussion threads involve discussing both the positive and negative points about a bike. If a new rule was brought in which stated that a news thread regarding a bike's launch should be used only to kiss a bike's ***, my apologies. I guess I'll have to follow that. But I haven't come across any such rule yet. If someone can point me there, I'll be thankful.
Let me say this again, this is xBHP, not some crappy fanboy site where members keep on worshipping a particular brand/model without even mentioning the shortcomings. The fanboys need to stop carrying out their childish acts and get a life. Let us carry out some mature and neutral discussion here without wasting time on non sense one sided favouritism like 10 year old kids.

Man! if it turns out to be a single someone's gonna have to run for cover. ;-)
Hope i am not wrong i am ready to publicly apologize if i am proven wrong later. if you see right from last year i had told about prototype with twin being made (which was true) and its showcase happening in 2013 end (which was true again) and a launch happening in june (which was untrue since it happened in may ) and also few recent ones being true. the only last thing i would want (or dont want) is the r25 being single cylinder

True. its like making a new bike all together. does not make sense if your new bike is launched at present. maybe in future they might get the single cyl bike like the ninja did.
