I am taking a test ride today for Bennelli 600i today in Hyderabad. Seems like their exclusive showroom is not up yet. They are sharing space with Mercedes showroom in Jubilee Hills. I will try to share detailed feedback with pictures.
Any owners yet who can give a first hand description? I am confused between 600i and Ninja 650. I just love the looks of this bike but DSK's nightmare-ish after service reviews worry me the most. I would like to wait another 6 months for either a ABS upgraded Ninja 650 or after sales reviews for Bennelli. But right now the adrenaline might get better of me

haha, that guy was hardly even pushing the bike, more like cruising away! 600i develops most of its power wayyyyyyyy high up the RPM <10,000 rpm mark where it really kicks in speed.
I've ridden this pony beast and can confidently say it very forgiving at 'normal' speeds.Just like the average joe desi sport bikes. This even with the hefty 231kgs which surprisingly is exactly the same as Z800. But for some reason I never felt that much of the weight maybe because im used to riding heavy bikes. The posture is most interesting as u sit straight up and can comfortably ride long distances. Once you really push the bike, it accelerates like a rocket launcher. Nevertheless the brakes seemed quite progressive(no idea what all the hoopla with the weak brakes was about)maybe the brakes of the test bike were well bed-in. Imho 5.88 price as a whole seems to be a very fair tradeoff for an inline 4 devil

They're actually designed and manufactured by a Chinese company Keeway Motors. It is just the TNT 899 and TNT R that are Italian. So all that 'heritage' talk is just baloney. The only thing Italian about the bikes is the name Benelli, nothing more.
In the context of Indian market does all of this really matter?Sure its developed and made in China but i for one couldn't find any major faults in build or quality.
And not very sure whether the 899/1130R is a CKD/CBU but those who choose for either of them know whats in store for them. Both those bikes are absolute fanatic
nutters. AFAIK they're still awaiting complete ARAI certification and with a good reason. So anyway a lot depends on the quality of after-sales and if that's reasonably taken care of and no blunders are committed on that front, no one would really mind.

Benellie 600i or GT is much better than Ninja 650, IN such a Price Rs 6.2L OTR 600i & 6.9L GT is a good deal for inline 4 machines.
The fit & finish is also awesome unlike Hyosung. Benelie will surely eat up Jap here in India with pricing and performance, Once the more no of svc add up it in dealership\svc will make them kool in inda. Already they have opened the quite effcient svc allover north, South is still in progress.
