I really cant believe you making that analogy!
The apple iPod is a low ticket item when compared to a mo'bike! In India a mo'bike is an investment.... people have emotions attached to it! which are much stronger than the iPods!

(Ps I am a sucker with 1 iPod Nano 2g, 1 iPod 4G 80GB, one iPod Touch 1G)

iPod may be a lower in value than a bike.. but I do see some similarities here.


1. Both the iPods and Pulsars have sold to a point of becoming ubiquitous

2. Both evoke strong resposnes. There are both iPod Lovers and Haters

3. Even if one might not relish it (since he has bought an older version), upgrades do generate quite an amount of interest



(P.S: Just today I got a news-letter from Apple informing me that my second "shuffle" bought 6 months back is outdated now as the latest "shuffle" (smaller and with more memory and features) is just out in the market)

i dont trust that site at all...had seen it earlier also.....i mean just look at the specifications provided......most of them are wrong....and these are very basic specifications which is the first thing any jounalist/enthusiast will checkout...

I have P200 and i am looking forward to seel and go to p220 segment ( Pocket Freindly).....I am intrested to know if is it worth waiting till these p220 upgrade will be available....I am planning to buy the bike in 1 month or so...Kindly let me know....I cant wait any more....

if possible do wait for the upgraded P220....we all know that it is due for a launch so why not wait for it...you have a bike till then at least...if not,then take a look at R15 also

Thanks motormania..I have sold my bike yesterday in Faridabad....I am looking for oly upper segment...I use bike for daily commute to office and hanging out with friends....I am intrested in purchasing it...but i just confused that is it worth waiting to buy new one or should i take the Present model available....Please man need help

dude,everyone out here knows that the P220 is due for an upgrade and is in the pipeline......i guess no one is sure about the launch date precisely but then i guess its not too far away...as the P220 is a part of bajaj's 6 promised launches......you really dont wanna buy the present bike and regret it later(which is pretty soon enough)..do you?....the best thing for you to do is wait....

Another friend in Pune has 'sighted' and Pulsar with a weird fairing.... now what would that be... the New P220?

Cool..So surely we should expect some fireworks from BAJAJ.As the P200 has got the fairing from P220, it is safe to expect a new fairing for P220.Now that is what i call maintaining a 'good' product life-cycle!!
