Update: Bajaj claims V15 is their proudest creation yet. Aiming to sell about 20,000 units a month, it is the fuel tank of the Bajaj V15 which consists a few grams of metal from INS Vikrant, while the remaining metal is procured from regular suppliers.

Now, it has emerged that the amount of metal bought by Bajaj Auto stands at a total of 3 metric tonne or 3,000 kg. This includes 1,000 kg of aluminium and 2,000 kg of iron and steel. And for the purchase of this scrap metal, they paid Rs 1.8 lakh.

I kinda expected a very exclusive and a limited bike from Bajaj completely built with this Metal,Each priced like 1-1.3 Lakhs and with their 220cc DTSi Engine. After few months,It will be discontinued and very limited,So Bajaj can expect a massive cult following for this bike. But what they have done...Duh.

It will not be discontinued. They will continue to produce the bike with regular metal but it wont be INS Vikrant special.

Kalyan at Ronak Motors also I have checked with Bajaj Auto at Ghansoli where I just got done Booking it.

Booking amount I paid is 1,000 RS.

Ronak Motors on road price :- 75,000 rs
Bajaj Auto Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai on road price :- 75,000 rs

Edit:- I have also found out that the engine is not completely from discover, but is a all new engine with longer stroke for better torque but is derived from the Discover series.

As per overdrive v15's engine protest loudly after 80kmph and it takes some effort to touch 100kmph mark....

I have seen some other reviews as well the bike doesn't vibrate even at speeds of 100 kmph and most of the bikes provided by bajaj aren't even run in yet. This was raised by couple of reviewers. The engine is very refined, exhaust is just different then typical Bajaj sound also it's a 150 cc commuter not a semi sports model so yes it's made for more of a city useage and some highway useage of around 80-100 kmph over that the engine maybe feels stressed but since I already booked it let's see the reviews I would have for it.
