An automatic that looks like a bike, and not a scooter? I feel we aren't ready for that yet! Remember TVS Jive? It was just auto clutch (AMT for bikes ) and nobody bought it.

I liked the design. A bigger engine in that would be nice.

May be something on the lines of Navi... I love scoots and would love to own a scoot with a bigger engine.

Sorry for high-jacking this thread. But since we are talking about scooters, any idea when this scooter will be launched?

It is GTS300, Powered by a 278cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine that develops 21 BHP and 23 Nm of torque

Isn't it normal for brake disc to rust when it is kept idle for a year?

The front disc, which was a standard 240mm endurance made disc is intact. That was the point.

I was initially feeling sad that THE INS Vikrant was scrapped. But its good to see it reprised its self in another form!

I believe, had Jive been fully automatic instead, it would have been a differnt story. That auto clutch was confusing and complicated for many...

We expect this jaunty scooter to come to India as a CBU, which of course, means that it will be pricey. That price should be somewhere in the ballpark of Rs. 3-4 lakh and that, is expensive.
The above information is from Motoroids.com. 3-4 lakhs for a scooter in India is too expensive.

I came across something on Rushlane about the V15

Quote: On the fuel tank of Bajaj V15, is a small memento affixed. This shiny piece of steel is what has been made from INS Vikrant’s steel.

What in the world? So rest of the bike is regular steel?

I know right? Maybe thats why they refused to state what % of Vikrant's steel is used in the bike.
