Those headlamps on the 390 look spectacular! Anyway, any update regarding the instrument cluster on the 250? Does it use the old instrument cluster of the 200 or gets the new TFT screen from the 390?

The TFT display, Ride by wire, LED headlamps and ABS is exclusive to 2017 D390Originally posted by Fagant View PostThose headlamps on the 390 look spectacular! I believe those images are not of Indian versions. You can also see ABS rings in Duke 200.Originally posted by DRRAVINDERCHOPRA View PostThose images above shows ABS plate on duke 250
Is it true?

390 looks smashing. is good value at that price too.
i can stretch my budget upto 2.5 lac, but it will be a bit of strech. dominar with same engine is looking even more tempting now. agreed its low on power in comparison but that low end torque is also pretty good experience. also it does not feel too big difference when i am riding it.
dominar also apparently does not have quirks like overheating or reliability problems going by the ownership thread. looks like i will stick to dominar shortlist.
but i have to admit duke does look tempting with that shiny screen and lower weight and looks. not sure its worth it to shell out 75-80 k extra. across 3 yrs that will be some 3 k extra emi per month.

Duke 390 just became even more better. Hoping the balancer shaft smoothens the ride a bit more.
Can't wait for the competitors and 390 Adventure though. Exciting times.

Even the MY15 Dukes didn't have any of the quirks you mentioned. I have one and I only got my fork seal changed in 13k kms I've done. I have taken it to very bad roads and never babied it. I'm pretty sure MY17 will be much, much better in this aspect.Originally posted by VaibhavPisal View Post

you sure about that? i have read lot of touring blogs and ownership experiences for duke 390. mostly ppl are highlighting repair work and quiet expensive ones at that.Originally posted by Gunslingin_Ridr View PostDuke 390 just became even more better. Are you sure about the balancer shaft? Have not read about it anywhere.
It would be really great if it indeed has a balancer shaft as the buzzy nature of the beast would be so so much better without it.
Cheers

re: 2017 KTM Duke 390, 250 and 200 launched
@sunilg Is it true that bosch is developing after market ABS kits which they plan to use for Duke 250 later on. To be honest, 250 Meets all my requirement except for lack of Back and i am unable to put my money for this thing without ABS . I don;t mind paying extra 15 K but give me ABS pls .Originally posted by sunilg View Post325 KTM showrooms across the country!
KTM drops the bomb, launches the KTM Duke 250
250 cc, 30 ps engine
Split trellis frame
side slung exhaust
aluminum swingarm
slipper clutch
lack of ABS is forcing me to look at 390.
Another Q - from photos, it seems that pilion seats are more usable now and appears longer & wider. Assuming you have seen bike in flesh is it so or just the photo angle making me believe so .Last edited by .sushilkumar; 02-23-2017, 04:52 PM.
