I second that!Originally posted by Divyesh Panchal View PostI guess it makes sense on the manufacturer's part to not include abs looking at the market conditions. Unless and until the govt makes it mandatory, no manufacturer is going to take the additional cost burden and affect their sales. People want abs, but don't want the prices to go up..

Old one mate!Originally posted by Fagant View PostThose headlamps on the 390 look spectacular! Anyway, any update regarding the instrument cluster on the 250? Does it use the old instrument cluster of the 200 or gets the new TFT screen from the 390?

2017 KTM Duke 390, 250 and 200 launched
I was wondering about the following:
1) TFT display, how reliable is it going to be during rainy season
2) LED headlamps, will they be able to holdup during rain and winter seasons
3) Battery, is it the same one from the out going model
4) Coil, has there been any updates/upgrades made to the coil. Owned a 200 for almost 25 months (then upgraded to 390), about 15k kms the coil went bust, spilling the coolant all over
4) Oil pump, I am a novice in this topic. However, I wish to learn from experts about any updates or upgrades here. I am aware of the changes made to engine internals to meet BS IV emission norms but would like to know about the oil pump specifically since it is one of the components that helps coil life longevity.
I will now leave to the experts for their inputs.
Experts Thanks in advance for your inputs and feedback !!
Cheers!

How does that make a difference ? The dealer will have to provide you a registered bike. If he registers it in TN, cops in Bangalore will be after you. If your dealer manages to get it registered in KA, you will be paying the same taxOriginally posted by JS16 View PostIt's a city on the TN and KA border 🤣 Taxes are low and it's very near to where i live in Bangalore 😜

Those are all press release BS is what I hear...they are in plans to implement BS-VI after BS-IV and they are in deep talks whether to launch the 310 actually in India or not is what I heard when I spoke to him last time. Since BS-VI is not a long way down the line. They may even skip the launch and the vehicles that were exported to US for the 310R launch have some technical issues and they are being shipped back to the base for repairs. What are those tech glitches, he never mentioned it.Originally posted by mid View PostDoubtful about this news being true, b'cos as we know Bharat BS norms are based on euro norms and euro6 is alredy in effect. Similar to dukes this is meant to sell in Europe as well. The jornos/reviewers outside India states a complaint on gearbox/transmission is making the launch delayed.
They dont want to spoil their brand image abroad with a small CC vehicles with such high stakes in play.

Thanks guys! The first impression videos look good.. And its about time the duke stopped sounding like an auto-rickshaw
Need to do a TR to find out how good the seats, suspension and the ergonomics are. Hopefully this bike will be a little more forgiving for the Pillion rider (unlike the D200).. Someone checked out the pillion seats in person? Are they hard like in the D200?
